How about some performances of artists you didn't think you would enjoy...What's yours?

George Michael had an incredible voice but because of his life choices I never really paid that much attention to his art.
Damn, was I wrong!!!! Yea, "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" was a new and cool tune/video back in the 80s but his live performances after Wham was just incredible.
In this clip I always wished Justin Timberlake would/could emulate his style. Power, elegance and grace. GM was one of a kind.

I have NEVER, EVER been a fan of Beatles' remakes....99.9999% of them are just awful.
However, George Michael's rendition of The Beatles' "The Long And Winding Road" is superb!
He is performing it at a Linda McCartney tribute concert. The bloke simply nails it!

I'm not a fan of Miley Cyrus, and in fact I'm not familiar with any of her popular music. But I love her Backyard Sessions videos on Youtube, and in particular, this rendition of "Jolene," the Dolly Parton song.

David Bowie's "Heroes" is another tune that I mistakenly thought couldn't be performed live and sound as good or better than the studio version.
Back in the day it was Microsoft's theme song...remember that?
Well again I was mistaken...Here is Bowie's live version of "Heroes".
Here he exudes class, sophistication and elegance. His band is fabulous!

Mention the name "Yanni" and 99% of the time you will get a response such as "elevator music".
Well to the uninformed ones, here is just one tune from a concert that I wish like all get out I could have had the pleasure of attending.
There are several more fabulous performances from this fantastic show, but for now it is "World Dance".

Miley Cyrus here, too. By accident I caught her performance on some late night show. She is a great entertainer and aside from some things occasionally frowned upon, a talented dancer.

Could never stand George Michaels' music, still can't, but I'm with you Jim on the Beatles!! I was a tot when they were at their peak, so for me it was my mothers' music, and I never liked it, but I've come to appreciate it much more now as an adult, particularly George Harrison
