And what are you doing today ?

I’m feeling quite sluggish after the Christmas indulgences, and can barely do the zip up on my jeans, so it’s a fresh start today, up late, heading for the shower and out for a walk, I need fresh air and exercise plus, the diet starts today !

Yes I'm feeling similarly sluggish , and I do have to start an exercise regime.

I've had a knee problem for the last 6 months which I get PT for every week , so it can be very painful at times to walk which I need to do for exercise, but conversely I need to walk to prevent the pain from becoming even worse ..rock and a hard place, but I've decided I'm going to join the gym :giggle:

Hi Wren, I'm doing well. I've been drinking Diet Dr. Pepper all morning to combat the effects of the Coors Light I had. So now I'm kind of wired o_O:D

I did a bit of online shopping this morning. I needed some new bed pillows and some pajamas--mine were so old. Can't wait for them to be delivered!

I should eat something but ate a lot of snacks at the party last night and the caffeine from the pop took away my appetite. I'll have something later. Wow am I rambling on here...

I hope the walk does you good!

stayed up till 12 .30 then I had to go to bed =didnt drink so I dont feel frail lol ''
but I know what u mean about tight jeans phewwww ,must be good' but the xmas cake keeps a calling me //////
I'm the same I don't drink alcohol either.. but late nights and junk food make me feel just as bad.

It's very foggy here today and damp hanging over like a blanket.. it'll be dark again in 2 hours, so I don't think I'll get a walk in today , but then I walked quite a bit yesterday so I probably made up for it

I only had a single drink, so no fuzzy brain for me to deal with. Lots of fireworks around here last night. I kind of like the noise but feel very sorry for the dogs (and their families) that get very distressed by them. We've had dogs who freaked out when fireworks were set off and it's pretty awful to see them so frantic.

Today I'll back off on the sodium and sweets, because last night I indulged in several large handfuls of pistachio nuts, then hit the Christmas cookies in a big way! Now that the holidays are over it's time to return to the straighter and narrower.

I'm doing great. I made a lot of New Year's resolutions, and especially the ones I made about living healthier. I'm proud to say that I am faithfully doing EVERY one of them- even the hard ones. It takes a lot of steely determination. Life is good, the New Years' parade is on TV. Yeah. It feels good to be so healthy.
Maybe, I'll get a pizza for a snack, and then, lie down for a while.

noisy and long fireworks night .. time for a nap!

I’m in the middle of my head cold still feeling kind of blah. Today I went to the dollar store and purchased some Kleenex. New Year’s eve was uneventful but there were some fireworks early in the evening. My husband had this cold and cough for about a week and a half, he is now feeling a lot better, but the dear man has given it to me! I’ll be taking it slow the first week of the new year!

I think going to the gym and doing your own physiotherapy for your bad knee is a really good idea

After the tumult and the shouting dies after the run-up and aftemath of Christmas and New Year I feel maxed-out and a bit surreal in a way. Thinking back over decades of Xmas's and New Years and such happy times with family and friends and my time in the work place and the office parties and work's do 's. Feeling a tad maudlin and sentimental.

It will pass and things get back to norm soon
