to a thread? For instance, @JaneDoe, so that I don't need to quote the entire post or when I want to call a poster's attention to something I've mentioned on a thread?

@Devi @Nathan and @hollydolly Yay. I've gone back to a couple of posts and edited them to do that. I get so excited when I learn something new, even if it's inconsequential to other folks:LOL:

Now all I have to do is figure out how to post pictures. That is rocket science, at least to me.
well just ask what you need to know and we'll take you through it step by step...

If you only want part of the message quoted, highlight it and the quote symbol will show up. Then go to the bottom to write a new post. You’ll see “insert post” at the bottom of the box. Choose that and you can see the words you highlighted. Insert and add the comments you want. Not sure that all makes sense.

That's true Jules. And when you highlight a sentence or two, there is also a Reply option along with the Quote. The reply will put just what you highlighted into your post for you to reply to.
