How do you fold towels?

In this house I fold the ones I use in the guest bath so they end up looking a lot like #2 but without as many visible folds. I fold them like that so they fit well into the linen closet. But the towels in the master bath are rolled. So they fit the built in storage Ron made

The last house I lived in I had to fold the towels more like #1 for the most efficient use of the space in the linen closet there.

What about you?

I fold for most efficient use of closet space.

Also, if possible, so that folds will be in the right place when the towel is hung up. This means left and right sides folded in first.

I use number 3 . I store them in cube cubbies in the bathroom so the fit perfectly. Also we switched to all cotton white towels. We alternate washing with bleach, oxy, and vinegar. We have a lot of minerals in our water and the residual minerals were preventing used towels from drying quickly and they were growing bacteria and mildew. We also buy the cheaper, thinner towels now and they dry faster on the towel rod and in the dryer. We each use 2 for a shower but it works for us!

The US Navy taught me to use method 3 for towel storage in lockers and sea bags. I still use the roll up method to this day. (unless I plan to store them on a slanted surface;))

It depends on the towel, mine are folded as #2 and the same in the company bathrooms.

The dogs towels are folded as the #1, they are beach towels, they take up to much space in the linen closet. They are stored in the garage storage cabinet.
