This is what it looked like here today for the 5th day in a row...

I took these this morning, the grounds attached to my doctors 'surgery...

Is he a tree surgeon?? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Bad weather on the horizon. But it does not impress the daffodils. They are bound and determined to bloom. Also some ground cover which blooms purple.

SO will clean his toys for tomorrow's play date and then some small projects. He pulled the slide out out of the oven for me to finish cleaning it. Tile guy should be here by lunch for a grout cleaning/sealing estimate in kitchen area. Grass guy has me on ignore. ??? He is good so that is fine.

Izzi and I had a not so good night so a bit slow in the starting blocks. She is fine now. Chasing a dope mouse through the whole house leaving a trail of catnip. I keep furry cat mice in a jar with dried cat nip for her. Would not hurt me in form of tea.

Canadian Geese got into the bird feeder on the front porch. They leave such a mess behind! As they are a protected species there is not much more I can do besides water gun and broom. The show also offers entertainment to onlookers.

Off to get chores done so we will have a micro vacation this afternoon and maybe episode 2 of The Leopard.

Sunny here and warming up again. Soon buds will appear on the trees. grass is starting to green.
Near time to service the JD lawn tractor for another harsh summers days! Screen are open &
house smells so good now. I have a couple of new benches and cushions to take to out Lake
home in a couple of Weeks. Has to dry up some north yet.

The Area has several Amish communities, and 250 men showed up to move a large white barn 72' x 48'
across the property nearby. They lifted it up and carried it over and set it down on the new foundation.
Took about an hour to complete the move.

Most likely the biggest single project in all those young men's lives too. A real learner!

Pere Marquette State Park and River City of Grafton are places we hike at. Saturdays lots of Bikers &
4X4's stop into Grafton.

Went to the neighbors to see the new little filly horse that was born two days ago. She is all legs and such a beauty! Today the Vet showed up and he was going to take some blood work on the baby horse but he wasn’t able too. Momma was baring her teeth and was very agitated if anyone got close to her or the baby. Normally, momma is gentle natured and likes people but she wasn’t have it today. The Vet seems to think she will calm down in a few days and then she and her little one can go out into the pasture. Personally, I think they should let them out today so they kick up their heels! But I don’t know that much about horses.

I went and washed my car this morning. I went to the grocery store yesterday morning and it had started to rain on the way home and the rain looked like “mud rain”. Everywhere you looked, peoples cars were covered in the same mess. I think it was dust in the rain that was blowing in from Mexico. We have had some strong winds lately. My windows on the South side of the house also had mud rain streaks on them. That drove me nuts, so I had to wash them too.

I have a load of laundry I am also working on and then I am about done for today.

In Spain that Mud rain which tends to be red is called Sahara rain... and it leaves filth everywhere when the rain stops

such a gorgeous day, I'm outside as much as possible. Ate lunch under the poplar tree... took a walk... all the windows open to the breeze. Bradford pear trees are all out in their fluffy white finery and I see dogwoods budding. Maybe there'll be things worthy of photos soon.

Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy/raw; good soup/tea/movie weather.

My daughter (lives in N GA) sent me a pic of her laundry on the line, pretty much flapping perpendicular to the ground. She quipped, "It's a 3 clothes pin day." =)

At least next week I only have to work one day (the three-days-a-week stint is officially over). So glad, I was tired.

Finishing up our two library books for book club Thursday... the one ("Marsh Queen") I really enjoyed. The other, (I think it was "Civil War Widows"-- shows how much of an impression it made on me, haha) I couldn't get into. Jumping between multiple points of view and each person had a lot going on...

Y'all have a lovely rest-of-the-weekend!

Last spring the Neighbor had his boat out for Memorial Day Weekend.
Tied it at his dock and it rained. Next day he didn't know what to do.
The white Seats were now Tan. I gave him a large can of WD-40
"Sure, hope it takes the ( Tan ) stain out." ... It worked pretty well.

He went to town for a couple more cans. Last time
he didn't put the Cover on his large Pontoon Boat.

That's impressive! 20+ years ago, I was a volunteer in a northeast corner of my region. The project was a substantial timber-frame bridge across a narrow spot in a river. The bridge was to be dedicated to foot, bicycle, and horse traffic, not cars or trucks.

Volunteers came not only from here in BC (the westernmost Canadian province) but from New England, and some southern U.S. states. One group of a dozen or more guys were "plain folk" from way east in Canada — dressed in dark broad-brimmed hats, white shirts, and dark work pants held up by suspenders. Not Amish, but Mennonites.

Have had an ear-worm stuck in my head, all day:

"Come on now, it's time to party with Garfield and Friends.
Garfield and Friends!"

What is baffling about this is that this is a show my, now 41 year old, daughter used to watch before school as a young teen. How the heck is this in my head? And, more weirdly, it's not the first time. It's been plaguing me. Garfield and Friends! :/

Great news. Wife is home and seems fine. New medication seems to be able to control her heart issue.
Another thing that showed up after testing was a doctor wondered if she had been in any accidents recently, or if she had suffered some kind of whiplash in the past. We chuckled about that because, as we explained to him, that for over 30 some odd years, she has driven race cars and been involved in several mishaps, where whiplash could have occurred.
While we thought it humorous, he explained that she has suffered nerve damage which in turn can cause a restriction in her chest and actually cut off blood to her heart. So now we have to try to control her outdoor activities a bit.
Again, I'd like to thank all that gave her their prayers.

@squatting dog So glad to hear that Mrs. SQ is better and home again.

When an entire day goes by and there are probably only three or four sentences spoken... If not for DS calling, I wouldn't have talked to anybody all day long. >le sigh<

I guess I've already said I flunked monkey grass again. >le heavy sigh< I need more flower seeds, but DD was busy wielding the power washer to clean the walkways and long double driveway so I didn't want to ask. I wish I could just get in the @#$%&! car and go get them myself.

Supper was cottage pie that I was "invited" to make. Guess who didn't make Dessert for Dinner? Old people get tired, and making dinner was enough for one day. Tomorrow I've been "invited" to make meatball soup for dinner. That's fine...it's supposed to be a cold and dreary day. After tomorrow, though, I'm noping myself outta the kitchen for the rest of the week.

And tomorrow I'm gonna have conversations with Maggiecat.

I get that! I had Baby Shark song rolling around in my mind for days!😵‍💫 😅

Well kids, I did it. Dusted everything. When I was about halfway through it occurred to me that my friend is nearly blind with macular degeneration so there's no way she'd even SEE the dust! I pressed through and finished the job anyway. @Georgiagranny, are you impressed? I mean, it's not monkey grass removal, but still....

We've known each other since we were 11 years old. She's been my Bestie for a very, very long time.

I also made a double batch of biscotti. Used flax eggs instead of real eggs, as I sometimes do. They turn out pretty well - the texture isn't quite good as with real eggs, but not apologizing to my arteries with every bite makes up for it.

Also mopped the floors and unleashed Roomba to do its thing. The guest suite and the rest of the house is company ready!

I'm looking forward to a relaxing evening.
