@CinnamonSugar I didn't know that was a book. The movie is on Netflix. Loved it!

It's good that you didn't subject yourself to that heat and humidity SD. I have a neighbor who belongs our complex's gardening committee. She was out there in (felt like) 100 degree weather and my Honorary Son #3 was quite concerned about her. We know she loves puttering around out there. Thank God she didn't get a heat related illness.Whoo hoo. Temp has plummeted to 80..... but.... humidity pegged out above 90%,so, no outdoor work for me today. Earlier, before the rain, I mowed another section of the lawn, and made my monthly run to Sam's club.

What a nice face you have Oy. And your little friend is definitely a cutie (this coming from a cat person).Well - I had my day out to Donnington. Three trains each way. I enjoyed it. A lovely little craft beer bar on the station too
But the highlight of the day was making a new little friend on the train on the way back across the pennines. Meet Cassie - what a cutie I just couldn't resist having a hold and a littler cuddle

Gosh! It's almost as warm there as it is here.Morning all, my early walk at 6:45 ,temp was 72 as I walked around the building 1 time before breakfast
This morning at 9,taking the Gates van to local hospital{where I used to work} for my annual mammogram
I may walk home if its not too humid
The rest of my day read today's NYT, my book.
I called in for my dinner reservation in the dining room for 5:30, have no idea who I'll be sitting with
Oh my gosh! That is sooo scary! I'm sorry that happened to you! It sure sounds like an allergic reaction. Please keep us updated jujube. It's been an exciting week so far.
Monday morning, I got up, putzed around, did some posting and then started feeling bad. And badder. And badder.
First my face and mouth started tingling. Then my face turned bright red and my eyes got bloodshot. Then my legs got bright red. Then the chest pains and pressure started and I couldn't get a deep breath.
The Spousal Equivalent got out the blood pressure machine and it wouldn't measure my blood pressure. I was sweating profusely and my vision was affected. I really, really felt bad and was getting really scared. Terrified. I swear I felt like I was leaving this earth. While this was happening, my hands and feet started itching intensely, very bad. Like a bad allergic reaction but I hadn't eaten or taken or been exposed to anything unusual. They tested my histamine level and it didn't show a reaction, so who knows?
He called 911 for an ambulance and they were there in minutes. They couldn't get a blood pressure reading, either, and I didn't have much of a pulse. They loaded me up and headed for the hospital. I asked if I was having a heart attack and the EMT said, yes ma'am, you do appear to be having one. Then I was really scared.
They put me on oxygen and shot me up with something, which made me feel a bit better but made me a bit loopy. I could hear them talking on the radio to the hospital, reading off figures and the EMT said, "We're coming in hot."
The funny thing was....the male EMT was the best-looking piece of beefcake I had seen in a long long time. I just blurted out, "YOU'RE GORGEOUS!" He kind of blushed and said, that's the medicine working. I told him, no, if I do die, at least I'll die looking at you. Everybody started laughing.
Got to the hospital, had a team ready, they loaded me up with some more stuff and by then, I was feeling a lot better. Blood pressure was very low still, though.
So, I spent the rest of Monday and Tuesday getting tested. All kinds of tests. Results of the tests? They don't know what happened, but no damage was done to my heart. In fact, except for one valve that's a bit weak, my heart is in good shape for my age.
Late Tuesday, I was begging to go home. At that time, the only thing keeping me there was a 24-hour urine collection and I convinced them I could do that very well at home and bring it back this morning, which I did at 7 a.m. I was sooo glad to get home. It's a great hospital and the personnel were really really nice but I DON'T LIKE HOSPITALS! I had a nice private room and the bed was very comfortable and once they let me eat, the food wasn't bad at all, but I wanted desperately to come home. They were full on the floor, too, and I'm sure they could use my bed.
I'm scheduled for some more tests out-patient but so far, they have no idea of what happened to me.
I've never had a panic attack and I asked them if it could have been one, but they said no.
The body is a strange thing, no? I'm feeling quite well today, but a little shaky. Understandable.
