How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Good morning. My calendar says it's Saturday, but my brain argues for Sunday.

The mum? It's been potted! Yay me. That might be the only thing I get done today. I'm gonna call it a win, though, since it's been waiting since Wednesday.

Kaiser added Publix to the list of stores that accept the KP healthy food card. Yay for that because it's just down the road about two miles and saves having to plow through that huge Walmart store. So...we bopped on over and used up that last $10.10 on fruit and veggies.

And it still feels like Sunday morning.

Not to worry! We have your back if you need bail money.
Thanks!!! We all need a friend who is ready, willing, and able to step in if needed. Remember the old saying.....

A good friend will bail you out of jail. A great friend will be sitting in the cell next to you, saying "dang, that was fun!!!!"

It's racing towards 7pm here , sunset is in around 10 minutes.. at 6.47....

My Eastern European neighbours are having a party.. looks like it might be one of the kids' birthdays given the amount of cakes that I saw their families arriving with... and of course the men as always are outside BBQ'ing....so I'm not cooking any dinner yet. because the likelihood is that they'll bring me round some freshly cooked food... .. but very often they'll arrive really late past 9pm with food.. other times it'll be as early as 7.30pm

if they don't there's no harm done I can always cook later...

You flatter me with the book suggestion yet you have more perception than you might realise. At school my understanding of the sciences was abysmal, chances are it's why today's technology goes over my head.
Yet when the subject was English, as in both Literature and Language, I excelled. Fellow pupils struggled with Shakespeare, whilst I so thoroughly enjoyed it, as I did many of our poets. Literature I loved, and language, as in grammar, that too was my talent. Have you seen my handwriting?

You are from Georgia, in my early years I befriended a young lady as friends, and we remained friends for life.
She married a surgeon, he was from Savannah, in your neck of the wood. We have been there many times, although not for some time now. Both my dear friend and he husband have passed away, but their memory is forever.
Your handwriting is beautiful, yet very east to read. How did you get the lines of writing straight?

Well as I predicted, my generous neighbours brought me round dinner tonight, at exactly 9pm....

Lots of meat on this one , more than usual.. 2 chicken drumsticks.. rump steak, Pork chops.. potatoes, pickled Slaw... Pitta bread... HUGE plate

Hunt recap - woke up extra tired and achy, popped a couple naproxen sodium to ease the low back. I make my way from the truck in the dark using a red lens on my headlamp. Somehow I got disoriented in the burn, (staring at a small red blob of light on the ground might have had something to do w it.)

There is one location on the route where elk have knocked down some barbed wire in the fence. As I approached several began jumping the fence heading towards the river in the blackness. Quickly put them behind me as not to disturb them any further.

The first minutes were quiet until this small started bugling from the bedding area. We bugled back and forth at each other a couple dozen times. He finally came out and showed himself, but was no where near as impressive as his bugles' sounded. So he disappears and a few more elk skate by me in the bedding area. It's beotch to walk in the bedding area so I'm a bit confused about what makes that effort necessary.

I'm looking South and I spot this hunter. 🤡. Yup the same guy that busted up the herd 2 Sundays' ago w 7x7 in the mix did the same thing today.

3 more days to go!
