Good morning. It's cool and sunny here and supposed to stay that way for the rest of the week. Then winter is going to set in for sure. We're even going to get...gasp!...frost.

That means I need to get my bony butt out and clean up the garden.

Last night made chicken cordon bleu for supper with a new recipe. I hated it. Not gonna make it again. Ew.

DGD got a WFH pharmacy tech job and is over the moon. It's been almost two years since she had to go on disability. Her docs and the team that did her spinal surgery have pronounced her well. Yippee!

Today we are celebrating our wedding anniversary. We will be having dinner at our favorite restaurant.
Would you share which is your favorite restaurant and why? We go to Ventura often and it would be nice to try a restaurant there that comes highly recommended from someone I know, rather than Yelp.

Congratulations on your anniversary, and on you and Mrs. Bowmore having found each other after you both lost beloved spouses. ❤️

Thank you for the kind words.

Yes, he's my only child and I raised him alone. He has three children. I've never met the youngest. I was very close to the two oldest, twins. When they were 15, my son told them they were not allowed to see my anymore. That was ten years ago.
That's terribly sad... espeicially when you raised him alone..:(

see that's also like my daughter..I raised her alone from the time she was 8 years old, and her father and I divorced.. every penny I had was spent on her.. I gave her everything I never had as a child...

I just would be beyond grief..if my DD and I didn't speak..

Do you know his reasons ?

Well my new car has gone off on the back of a lowloader to the repair shop...

The driver took photos of every part of the car before he took it to load it on... so we'll see how long that takes to come back

Too late now for me to go out... it;s past 3pm... he didn't get here until 30 mins ago... and it'll be dark in an hour, so I'm not taking the rental car that is much bigger than the Kia... and that I've never driven yet... out in the dark

Thank you for your kind comments,
Our favorite restaurant is Aloha Steakhouse. It is on the beach near the Crowne Plaza Hotel. They have a great varied menu with both beef and seafood entrees,

Good morning, SF Peeps! I was up before most of the birds. The time change is messing with my sleep patterns. Falling asleep is difficult even after ingesting a chunk of an OTC sleep aid. Hoping to resist a nap so today's 5:30 AM wake time can help reset my circadian cycle.

Not a lot on today's agenda. A few errands, one more business invoice to generate before putting that chore to bed, and maybe a start on one of those closets.

It's may only be November 4th, but it already feels like Christmas is nearly upon us. I'm dutifully clearing freezer room and over the next week I'll inventory on-hand cookie and pizza ingredients to figure out what needs replenishing.

My DH never squawks when it comes to making emergency grocery store runs when I'm mid-baking, but I try to keep them at a minimum.

Hope you make yours a great day!

Impressed so far... car has only been gone an hour and a half.. and already I've had one text update of it's arrival... and then about 15 minutes ago the fitter/repair guy at the garage .. called and gave me an update as to its condition, and their ability to repair it. he said that, he'd already repaired the door which had been cluncking to open because the front panel had been rammed back into it..

as for the rest.. he's ordered all the parts, he's hoping they'll get there tomorrow.. if not in the next 2 days... and they'll give me call when they know how long they'll have the car for...

wwell crudola !!!! I just spent a good 45 mins looking for my
glass's and no they were not on my head...rather I'd slipped into
the pants pocket, and then took those pants off to put on
diff ones for my pharmacy visit this morning....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Yest at doc's I scored a "mild neurocognitive disorder"!! I think
they go way to fast when trying out these quiz's on an elderly
person...jmo....but probably correct when you consider the
various issues I have......catch u later...going to phar abt 1230pm for shots and pick up meds.....

I took the campervan for its annual MoT test. It passed OK, but a crack was discovered at the bottom of the windscreen. This is covered by insurance, so I'll have to get in touch with the insurers to find an approved repairer. Looks like a stone chip has hit the window - not too surprised as there has been a lot of road repairs going on - and a lot of bad roads too.

A fairly typical Tuesday now that we've settled into our routines after a lovely (mostly) week in Porto last week.

Tuesday morning is always Tai Chi class - but this week in my teacher's absence I got to teach the class. Always a pleasure. No pressure haha! Feedback on our Whatsapp group has been good - YAY! After that we went for lunch, came home, had a nap, and now continuing to edit my photos from last weeks's trip. Progress has been slow as I had a few Freelance photography jobs over the weekend and getting those edited, sent and invoiced always takes priority!

Tomorrow is Tai Class again in the next town down! Less pressure :)

@Capt Lightning I didn't "like" this because you have a cracked windshield, I liked it because your insurance will pay for it(y).

I've been out playing in the dirt. Pulled up almost all of the impatiens and sunpatiens but the rest will wait until tomorrow because I had to stop and put more ShoeGoo on my boots where they're starting to crack.

DD's yard guy was here and asked if I'm going to reseed the lawn in the spots where the fungus just won't leave it alone. I'm of two minds about it. Along about mid-June is when the fungus starts, and there's no hope for the rest of the summer. He pointed out that at least I'll have a green lawn in about a month that will last for six months. Right. I dunno if I wanna spend the money. Thinking about it🤔.

@hawkdon and others who take Benadryl: It has diphenhydramine chloride, which is not recommended for folks older than 65. The reason for this is that diphenhydramine chloride contributes to forgetfulness and other symptoms related to Alzheimer's. Occasional use is okay, but please please please don't take it on a regular basis!

My insurance company just sends a man out the same day that I report it....

were you a Tai Chi teacher in the past before you joined this class?

Absolutely gorgeous da!. The suns out with blue skies. The temperature is 73 degrees. The trees are beautiful. Got my first shingles shot today. Got blood drawn for my PCP. Paid my county taxes and got that over with for another year. It's been a pretty productive day so far. I cant wait to see what the rest of the day brings.

No - but I did have experience in it - and a lot of previous experience in other martial arts. 20+ years of it and I had a couple of instructor qualifications in systems that don't use belts, and a 4th Degree Black Belt in one that does.
