How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Think it rained most of the night,,, every time I woke up I heard rain hitting the roof by my window.

Unless hubby finds another tree to cut down,, we are done splitting wood.

Started dusting the book shelves in this room.
Thinking about changing things around..

Already have my mother's parents pictures & one of hers up.
I have old pictures of my grand parents from my father's family.

The next shelves have wild life figures & plates
May just dust those shelves & clean figures & plates,, put it all back as before.

To find some good pictures of my father's family may take awhile.

Hope every one has a good day.

Home from North Georgia.

Yesterday had one very special happening. My younger granddaughter, who is essentially nonverbal autistic, came up to me and kind of “leaned into me“ — that’s her way of saying ‘I’d like a hug.’ I gently hugged her; then older granddaughter came up and wanted a hug too.

So I said, “group hug!“ And the three of us stood there in the hallway of their home, hugging each other gently. My younger granddaughter is not a ‘touchy’ person, but she accepted this and it was a very special moment for this grandma.

Left: 1/2 year after her retirement, my wife finds the energy to turn our 6 y/o grandson's play area back into a living room; and
to clean the refrigerator and every drawer in the kitchen. We designed the house ourselves although a Cal Poly architecture grad
student gave it the final touch. Our worst mistake was designing the kitchen as being too narrow.
Right: On second thought, do I really need three dog beds in my bed room?

Our large yard is a dog's paradise. I love watching my 13 m/o puppy running uphill, jumping over the water, and even falling. But a
bored puppy left unattended is problematic. Rex managed to turn my bedroon upside down, including throwing all of my bedding
to the ground. My grandson wouldn't have been able to do it any better.

Left: Cutting an Olive Tree is only half of the work. Nature is tenacious. With Muraic Acid and Roundup, I am trying to prevent
the tree from growing back. That's a tough job. Right: Isn't it awful how some people discarding trash on other people's land?
