I didn't know you were in Pughkeepsie NY...Pappy.. obviously despite having never been to NY..I have heard of places like Manahttan, Queens the Bronx, Staten Island...etc all those well known places... but I'd never heard of Poughkeepsie until it was an episode of ''friends''... and I've never forgotten the name... I hadn't realised that's where you'd moved to from Florida... cool...!(y)
Yes Holly, we moved up in April and are still getting settled. Thelma’s dementia is progressing and we need to be near our caregiver, Sue, our daughter. I do miss our home in Florida but sometimes you just have to do what is best for your family.

oh yes I remember you moving very well... and I remember the reasons for it too.. I just didn't realise it was Poughkeepsie... sorry to hear Thelmas' dementia is worsening but of course tragic as it is for you both, and particularly you watching it play out .. it was inevitable.:(:(

Good morning! I have an appointment at 10. Think that's all that's on the agenda for today.

We had a little rain last night and have been promised more today. Right now it's pleasant but very humid. Our temps are going to go up a little at a time until back to the 90s by the end of the week. The break from the heat was nice while it lasted.

@hawkdon I have a mental picture of you whizzing down a ramp on the Bluestreak...

The word here today is easy does it. Yesterdays biking tour really did me in as far as my neck and one knee. I was reminded when I woke with neck and face pains that the neck position in biking isn't on my approved list. It never occurred to me while peddling around like I was 60, that several surgeries does put a damper on such an activities.

So today no plan other than doing my daily walk and taking it easy.

Good morning graygang!!! I sit here gingerly typing and
wondering the day ahead, have extreme pain in right side
back, for some reason...ah well....won't get me out of starting
the laundry tho, and will finish off the biscuits & gravy for
breakfast. it is 71F and going into high 80's today, I just
heard thunder so I think some storms are coming closer...
Tonite is "fasting" in prep for doc app't tomorrow for wellness
checkup...hah..catch you later on...!!:cool::coffee::devilish:🤪

Hubby trying to get truck loaded with fire wood, before it gets too hot.

Weather forecast are saying its going to be another cold, snowy Winter !!

Hope to get some laundry done today.
May go to get some grocery this afternoon.

So far hubby's disappointment with his brother & nephew hasn't flared up again.

Hope everyone has :) a lovely day.

yes good luck with your viewings...3 people are not very many....My daughter upcycles houses and she's been known to have 8 or 9 people in one day and that's with expensive housing...at least you don't have to deal with the potential buyers, the agents does all that..

yes ''people here today'''... was what I meant ..yesterday I had 5 seperate people here, for various reasons.. including my gardeners.. and trying to cope with that while in Pain... is quite difficult...
You are well versed in house sales Holly. The agent does do everything, we had to leave the house, went to a local restauant and had a late breakfast. We were told to expect each viewing to last approximately one hour. It's probably thirty to forty minutes but the travel time from the office, the various questions and what not, allowing an hour is sensible. Now we have to lose ourselves for another hour.

Haven't been around much. Missed you guys. Today I have an appointment with a neighborhood neurologist. My DIL had made an appointment for me at Langone Parkinson's last Monday but I missed it because I was so done in from that four hour surgery procedure Thursday, July 31. Was just too much for me. A mountain I couldn't climb. The next appointment I could get from them is in December.

It was stupid of me to miss that, but I just couldn't get the strength up to leave the apartment.

So, I'm going today to confirm or deny if I actually do have Parkinsons, that is, if this doc is up to the task. I almost don't shake at all anymore. I believe it is due to the Rophinol the doctor who diagnosed me gave.

Last week was so crazy. Many people I know, including me, were dealing with horrific mental problems last week. Astonishing ;how many affected. Astrological? Actually, the readings last week were terrible for most signs. Coincidence, of course, right?

Missed you too. I'm sorry you're going through this Pepper. 🤗

Been to the hematologist this AM for first visit r/t new onset anemia... I liked the nurse practitioner with whom I spoke; she spent more than 30 min with me, discussing meds, nutrition choices (I haven't been eating much meat at all this last year... I think it finally caught up with me), results of recent labs and plans to proceed from here.

She's ordered an iron infusion, which--hopefully!!!-- will bring my energy back up from the present 'knuckle dragging' level and ease the brain fog. They will call me with an appt. after insurance coverage is verified.

In the mean time I'll keep taking the iron by mouth and also trying to boost my iron in my diet.

So.... I have had a very tiring and tbh quite sore day.... but it all had to be done.. and so I did it. I'll be housebound now for another few days because I've been out and everything hurts... ... but I had to go to the doctors surgery for something completely seperate from my injuries..

It was a belting hot day.. I got to the surgery early and was taken early.. that's almost unheard of...my GP surgery has no car park so we have to pay at a public car park and walk //it's a pleasant enough walk but not when you have painful ribs....

Anywy once done there... I walked into town just a few mins walk and had a cold cokeat the pub , first time I've been in the pub for about 6 weeks... then around the corner and have my nails done.

They were very careful in there with my sore arm and hand, but honestly my hands were in a mess since the crash and I was desperate to get them done.. so now they are...

I took some photos around town while I was there.. which for some odd reason are not uploading to air drop.... anyway on the way back I phoned in an order to the Chinese restaurant and got a take-away for dinner... Chicken Chow Mein, and pork dumplings.

Most of it is now in the fridge for tomorrow.. there's too much for one person...

In the pub ...

Hollydolly very picturesque!
yes we live in a beautiful small market town... ..today however, it was almost enitrely empty... the car park had plenty spaces, there was barely anyone at the outdoor cafes'..when usually when it's hot everyone is out... but it's August, so there's a lot of people away...

this town has been here since the 900AD... and some of the buildings are still standing....

Today turned out to be a very productive one, despite the fact that I slept in until 8:am.
First went to Wally's and got a new pair of work boots.
Then, I disassembled roughly 85 foot of field fence. Then, I strung 100 ft of new fence, and the other 80 of used. Fur babies now have a huge play yard. :)

Also moved my lumber pile out of the weather. In between sweating and cooling off periods, I did my laundry, and made me some oatmeal-raisin-chocolate chip cookies.
And only sweat soaked 3 pairs of shorts and undies.
Yep... been a good day. (y)

An Battery powered bike would be a great choice, you can pedal and
also use the battery to easy the workouts to substainabilities.
