How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Did I tell you folks that my middle left toe has a huge blood blister on it? Couldn't do anything but rarely hobble yesterday, the pain was so intense.

Made an appointment with podiatrist for Friday, tomorrow. Had to cancel my Wednesday visit to grandson and that broke my heart. Today, managed to get shoe on, and will at least go out, even if just to sit.

My life has gotten really hard
 

It's just past 3.30pm... the sun unbelievably has come out now, ..now that I've got home

I got quite a lot done today so far.. I got my appt done.. then I went to the nail salon.. had my nails done.. had the acrylics that I had on last month taken off...

Then walked to the pub for late breakfast... I was surprised how busy it was... on a grey dull midweek mid-day

stopped at the Independent pharmacy on the return home, and picked up my prescription... then had a text from the Doctors' surgery asking me to make an appt to discuss my prescritpions with the pharmacist down there...

When I got home, I had an hour's free electricity to use between 2pm and 3pm.. not long enough to wash and dry clothes.. so I just got them washed in that free hour which took 55 mins on a quick wash ... and while that was on I put the dehumidifyer in the barn on, and charged the Shark and the hand held Vacs... as well ..so in essence I got all but the drying done for free in that hour..

Oh yes I've been driving it since I got it at the beginning of August... just not very much. I 've driven it maybe 12 times now, that's all..

Talking of driving, I parked up at the pay & display car park in town , paid for the ticket at the machine ( £3.00 for 2 hours)... went to put the ticket on the dashboard in the car so the traffic warden gets to see the return time ( otherwise if they can't see it, you get a parking ticket) .. and noticed the machine hadn't printed the ticket.. it was completely blank.

I had to go another machine and pay again, there's no ticket seller or anyone to even complain to in the car park

Thank goodness I noticed it because that happened to me once before in that car park, and I didn't notice it at that time , and when i returned to the car there was a £50 parking...I was furious.. so I make sure I check now ..but it's annoying to be ripped off for £3.00 for a blank ticket

Good morning, to everyone.

We are waiting to hear if our new tire has arrived at the service center. So far no message. We do not like driving with the spare tire as it is limited on how fast you drive and is not as good as the new one.

This morning after clicking on a Firefox browser news story disguised link, that was instead a malware porn link, my desktop suddenly displayed disgusting malware stating my system was infected, not to shut down, or power off etc. Malware can prevent simply closing such windows say with the top corner X or with the task manager. So NO, within 3 seconds, I did in fact initiate a SHUTDOWN, quickly powering off before whatever might load unknowns in the background, as I've set up with my desktop power up boot button to SHUTDOWN, that is not the default.

After re-booting up, ran McAfee antivirus scans, that were as expected negative, then opened Firefox that of course went to the disgusting page that I immediately changed to www.yahoo.com. Then went into the Firefox Settings page to Notifications and deleted 5 allowed exception web links that included a TMZ link that was likely the source. Then cleared all browser history and data, most of which is automatically done each time I exit the browser.

All well again. Within the last couple weeks, something similar happened and had done the same thing. Attacks by malware are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and recently the Microsoft Notification functions seem to be a favored entry. Others on the board would be wise to be ready in understanding how back out and cleanly recover from such attacks that will differ depending on browser used.

First thing I did during business hours was to fill out and submit the reference request I received via email for my Honorary Son #3's new employer. I must say...I did a helluva good job with the wording. Then I spent two hours this morning trying to resolve a dispute I have with Wix, my web hoster. They did an auto charge of $756 for three years, which I don't remember authorizing and is significantly more than last time. I had canceled the previous dispute because I thought they refunded me after I canceled that plan, but it turns out it was BOA who credited me (before resolving the dispute). The charge then appeared again. I thought Wix charged me again, but it was because the dispute was canceled.

Before talking with the BOA dispute rep, I spent at least an hour on the website trying to resolve it with the company. First I got AI chat help. When I finally got to the form on which I could request a call back from a human, it wouldn't allow me to send the information. I tried three times. I didn't see a phone number anywhere on their site...turns out it was on the BOA details of charge area, but by then I was already on hold for the BOA rep. The young lady who helped me understood why I canceled the dispute and reopened it. She emailed me a link I can use to check the status because it won't show up on the site (due to the prior cancelation).

Another issue is when I canceled the premium, I chose a cheaper option, which Wix charged me for, noting that my website would now show ads. Well, turns out they took down my site completely! I have not received a refund for the other charge either. I'll wait a few days then call Wix about that or I may have my attorney call (it's a service that's included with my Legal Shield membership).

some caffiene.....trying to figure what I need to do today;..;..care
lady comes about 11am today to do her stuff...may start some
laundry today...we got a pittance of rain last eve, so yard is
looking very yellow....got a small light fixture to glue up abovre
stove, very shaded in that area, also glue on a couple handles
to the fridge the landlord gave me, as I cannot open the doors
on it with the provided "indented" handles....I've been watching
U.K. type mystery/cop shows last couple days, free ones on
streaming,....very nice to watch something different.....

So far, I've not had a good start to my day. My ☕ is ready, and I have 🎃 creamer in it (my favorite!), so things should get better.

My only plan for today is to🚶as much as I can, until it either gets too hot, or there is too much dirt in the air from people going back and forth.

I'm not feeling very social today, so I don't know if I'll get to reading very many posts. Maybe later......

Leaving soon for podiatrist for repulsive blood blister on left middle toe. My feet are a mess, both feet. Monday, have appt. with surgeon to go over ultrasound of both legs. Think they will recommend tomography, at least that's what results say. Tomorrow, Saturday, son & grandson coming to visit after grandson's morning football game. That is soothing. Seeing them is so good, my heart feels better just thinking of them ❤️
 
Slept late:4:50 am, now sitting in my tree., it’s relatively warm and breezy so conditions are not optimum.

Saw a few animals had crossed the river just ahead of me. I could see the wet spots in the sand where water had dripped off their coats. They headed for the bedding area and the bull bugled a 1/2 dozen times, but he didn’t want to come out and play.

Time to put a sweater on.

Edit to add: the sweater had to wait, had a spike come by.

Good morning to everyone. A nice sunny day again. We do need some rain as grass is getting very dry. I need to go water the gardenia plant.

Yesterday we had the new tire put on and another tire measuring device put in the car, so it runs well now.
