Spent most of the day moving or covering plants. Temp is dropping. Covered my raised gardens and put in some lights to keep them warm. Had to wrap the banana tree trunks so they should survive. Same with the citrus tree's. Other tomato's that I have in buckets have been moved into the garage... after moving the motorcycle over to one side. Then I remembered that I needed to wrap the well pipes, so, a quick trip to the store for some insulation.

I had an angiogram this morning. I was nervous because at my last procedure in June they had to resussitate me. At arrival my blood pressure was the highest it has ever been. It seems they are not going to fix my narrowing artery but just monitor it. What do I know? I guess I will have to consult AI and Google.

Oh dear Babs.. all that stress for nothing... jeez.... 🤗

I went to the gym early this morning and now have a pumpkin spice bread in the oven. I want to get a quilt quilted and hopefully get the binding on. Then I can sit an watch an old movie as I hand sew the binding to the back.

The sun is shining after some snow this morning!

Have a good day!
Your post reminded me...I bought canned pumpkin months ago with the intention of making pumpkin bread and I'd forgotten about it. I do love pumpkin things, so I'll give it a try soon. I haven't baked a cake or sweet bread in decades. You have a great week.

I napped off and on throughout the day and played several brain games on my phone in the morning then played them all again in the afternoon. This evening I loaded and ran the dishwasher, disassembled Deja's fountain to give it a thorough cleaning and deleted some pictures from Google Photos.
We must have every conceivable gizmo in our kitchen except a dishwasher, with just two of us we really couldn't justify it. Talking about those gizmos, I still can't get my head around the air-fryer, what a contraption that is.

Awake and up at seven this morning, it's a busy day ahead, breakfast and cleaning chores out of the way, I'm just going to shower and shave then I'm off, make that we are off, to the town of Bournemouth about twenty miles away. Our local bank was closed back at the beginning of October, the nearest branch now is in Bournemouth. I could probably sort my banking problem out on line but there's another reason to be in Bournemouth.
Previously I had intended to buy tickets for a swing-jive weekender at The Carrington Hotel in Bournemouth but at the last minute thought about my lady's health, she still has difficult days, so we have left it to the last minute to be sure.

We shall buy day tickets for Saturday, then, before returning home, we are off to see a darling friend whose birthday is today. She and her husband live in the market town of Ringwood. A birthday card was posted and part of the message read: "Wishing you both joy and chocolates." Our gift is a special chocolate, a favourite, Hotel Chocolat. They are so indulgent. We shall stay for coffee and then we have some shopping to do whilst we are in Ringwood.

Second night of being woken up with shoulder pain. Have to get up and do some stretches to relieve it and sometimes it’s just not worth trying to go back to sleep. My TMJ is flaring up, too. Thus endeth the whine.

Nothing planned today, just go with the flow.

Have a good one!

Morning peeps of SF...:geek:

The rain has finally stopped, but everywhere is drenched. My gardener was coming this morning but I sent him a text telling him not to come until the weekend when it's forecast to be dry and sunny...

Today I'm having a bit of a rest , I did a lot yesterday and my arm is hurting quite a bit... .

@jet ...hope you didn't wait too long and the heart surgeon had good news for you...

@DHH ...I hope the pain eases as the day goes on and you get a bit of a nap...

have the best day you can folks.... (y):giggle:

Hope your arm gets better. It’s always something, isn’t it. I think there was a time in my life when I was pain free and, but I don’t remember.

Oh yes I remember that time lol... it's no fun being old is it ?...

In my case as everyone knows here but you won't being a newby .. my pain is from a car crash I had in July.... had to have plastic surgery on my hand and arm... ! I get Physio on it every week..

I have no plans today, other than to go to the gym. It's 31 degrees so no golf.

This is a dangerous situation. My wife sees empty space on my calendar as a great opportunity for me to "get things done." I see it as time for reading, writing, drawing, or goofing off on SF and elsewhere.

Morning all, took my early walk at 6:50, again wearing boots temp was 28 as I walked around the building once before breakfast. I'd say we have about 2 inches of snow here in the city, The weather station is located in Cheektowaga{burb} of city at the airport{20 min away} so their totals are different
I have no real plans today, maybe some paper work, will try to go out mid morning walk for some fresh air.
Every one have a great day

Good morning everyone. I tried my new microwave yesterday and it is different from my old one. The start button adds 30 seconds when you put in the time but I didn't understand so I added the time I usually use. Well it made the items really hot. I guess I best read the instructions better.

It is cold this morning 32 degrees but feels like 28. We are not used to that cold of weather but we covered my gardenia plant and the water pipes outside.

Have a good day to everyone. Stay warm in cold areas and stay well. :)

Here's a new wrinkle in Marketplace meet-ups. I say in my ads that the buyer had to come to my house for a porch pick-up. One person PMed me and didn't even suggest a meet-up. They said to leave the items at a place of my choosing, let them know where, and they will pick up and leave the payment there. Yeah, that's gonna happen. Are people so afraid these days they have to do it this way? What if I went there and there was no money and the items were gone. They could always say that either someone stole it or it must have blown away. Sheeeesh.....

Woke to 9 inches of snow & temp in the 20s.

Got the dog into his 'winter jacket',, dirty looks from him.
While I started making him a path in the snow,, he refused to move into the snow!

Taking him down to the basement & out that door is better.
Porch floor & wood pile block snow & wind.

Asked hubby what his plans were for the day.
He planned on staying,,,, when phone rang.
Lady up the street wanted her drive way cleared.

Took him a bit of time to get plow truck running & plow working.

Other than a call canceling my dental appointment for Thursday,,,no other calls for plowing snow.

Have an interesting day,, what ever you do today.

Well I sure wish you were here @OneEyedDiva …you could go thru my receipts and add up my expenses on my project house. I had a mental breakdown about the sewer expense and haven’t been keeping up…pity me. And @hollydolly …about that rain? Still waiting. @Georgiagranny …my yard is a hot mess. So i think i will read my book and procrastinate…
