I went to see my PCP yesterday. I don't remember if I told you that the surgeon I went to see for my gallbladder put in her clinical notes that I was Toxic-Appearing and had really high blood pressure (194/82), and that I should see my PCP.

Ergo, I saw him. He does not think I am Toxic-Appearing (in other words I don't look like death warmed over) and will live. We discussed the blood pressure situation but nothing came of it *that I recall*. My pressure yesterday had 154 for a top number which is a lot higher than usual.

He seriously advised me to get a dog. I told him I was planning to move next summer (not out of my beloved Georgia), and I would think about it then.

I will be taking my son out driving again today. He did real well last night in the dark. He's gained a lot of self-confidence lately.

If I don't do laundry today, I will have to join a nudist colony for the seniors. Since we have 3 churches on our quiet residential street, I'll probably have to leave the state.

More baking! I had a plan like yours for Christmas cookie baking. I was planning to bake about 15 kinds of cookies. Christmas rolled around, no cookies. No problemo, New Years Day will do! Resolution aside, Valentines Day rolled around and still no cookies. Then Christmas came again! And I, The Queen of Procrastination, made it through another entire year!

It's a big problem when one loves to eat one's own baking, but has tired of baking after 55 years of doing it. OTOH, I don't eat a dozen cookies at a time any more - no need to have will power (which, as you can see, is a good thing, since I don't).
I make roughly 5000 cookies across 8 varieties every Christmas season and ship out 35 boxes of cookies to dear friends and family members, and also give a box of them to half a dozen neighbors. We'll have 4 parties this year, with everyone leaving our home with a box of 50-75 cookies. At three of those parties, I'll be cranking out 24 or so pizzas, as well. The 4th is Christmas Eve so no pizza that night.

Other than occasional rounds of biscotti or baking for a specific event or request, my cookie baking gloves are hung up between New Years and Thanksgiving.

My 9' X 4' dining room table during baking/shipping season.

I DID IT! Yesterday began wheelchairing myself around and today made twice around floor and backed myself into my room! Hard on hands. Calluses allready forming. Have more confidence and think healing well for an older broad.
@Pepper .. you might consider buying a pair of cotton gloves, which might make it less hard on your hands. They have them for wheelchair users.
