I'm on the pre colonoscopy diet for the procedure I'm having Monday morning. So low fiber.
Yesterday I had a sandwich of turkey, dressing, and gravy on white toasted bread. It was delicious! Skipped the sweet potatoes, green beans and baby potatoes, and the cranberry sauce.
Skipped the pumpkin pie for a caramel rice cake with chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

Morning all, on early walk at 6:50 temp was 29 as I strolled around building before breakfast
My plans today, invited friends Don&Dave for lunch at 12:15.I usually invite them 1-2 times/month
This afternoon watch college football game at 3:30 on CBS, Oregon vs Washington, then at 7:30 on ABC watch Alabama vs Auburn
Connie called me last night, going to dinner with her& the guys at 5:30,first time we'll be back together in a couple of weeks, she looks great, never would of known she was in hospital or at rehab
Every body have a great day

Got up with the deer hunters to make sandwiches.

The orderly closet got messed up/apart finding the 'right' hunting. jacket, safety vest.

Son & I felt like we were helping a child dress.
Hubby couldn't get a boot on,, finally he put some other ones on.

than ,, He asked' is this my jacket?'
it was thin hunting jacket, so got him another one from the closet.

Son asked, "where is the orange vest Dad wears?"

That turned out to be a hunt in bags , boxes, jacket pockets .
Finally. found 2,, stuffed one in hubby's jacket pocket.

Next up,,"do I have the right rifle" says hubby?
!! !! Then son helping him get his gun & ! load it !!

By then the dog & I were nervous .

We stood back as they went out the door,,,dog looked at me wondering what was going on.
OR could go off.

Been hearing rifle shots in the area.

Will get myself together.
Then start a roast or something for when hunters return.
Make some cookies ,,maybe loaf of bread,,as we are low on bread.

Hope everyone has a nice normal day.

Would be nice if my deer hunters got one,,,,, but then comes all the work of skinning it/ cutting up,, etc.

I survived Wal-Mart yesterday!!!! For someone who didn't "need" anything, the bill sure was big enough! LOL

I needed a nice "sweater/shirt type thing" that would look nice enough to wear when we go out. Nothing fancy, just something that actually fits me! Everything I have is either super old, or 2 sizes too big. Would you believe I found a perfect warm-up jacket?!! Not only was it my size, a nice color, and on sale, but it was the last one!!!!!

Since there is rain pretty much everywhere around us, we didn't go skating. So today is "pack up the Fall decorations" day. Of course, I said that yesterday, too, but went to town instead.

🤔 I wonder what I can come up with today, to procrastinate a bit longer. LOL

Afternoon Peeps of SF... 🍂 🍂 🍂

It's a beautiful day...I'm really annoyed because all week the forecast has been for heavy rain for today, dire warnings the whole 9 yards...... and so I cancelled any idea of going anywhere, includiing my physiotherapy appt... it rained this morning...but now it's sunny... and no rain at all...

How very irritating...

Now I have to make new appointments ...

Have the best day you can...folks....

Good morning to everyone. @hollydolly I say here to look out the window if you want to know the correct forecast. I am only joking but our forecasts are a lot like yours with saying lots of rain and then nothing.

It is sunny here but cold this morning. It will warm up to 73 this afternoon and then warmer weather the rest of the weekend.

I had a grocery delivery today and was surprised I received everything as I thought the stores would not have items due to being closed on Thanksgiving day.

I hope all of you are staying well and have a nice day today. :)

@Trila , I ordered a few things from Walmart because I am already not interested in fighting traffic and crowds that can’t drive🤯

No rain just yet. Sun is out and my area should see 50°. But the weather’s going to start to tank and we may see spitting snow on Monday.

Spitting snow in my area means ice. I can drive on ice, it’s those shoppers who only come out once a year that worry me. There would be no replacing my BTA 2002 Saturn Sport Coupe with only 79,000 miles on it.

Last night, I went to the Fox Theater in Atlanta to see The Outsiders. It was great! My favorite part was the sets -- they were amazing, really high tech, I think. Whatever happened there, it was fascinating. The actual musical was great too -- acting and singing and costumes and choreography and flow. There were 4,600 people there to see the musical! The Fox seats 4,665 people.

Anyway, I last went to the Fox in 1986, to see Cats. It is still indescribably beautiful.

I read a synopsis of "The Outsiders". Sounded a lot like "West Side Story" to me.

I thought so too. I looked up The Outsiders and S. E. Hinton, who grew up in Tulsa and wrote the book when she was 16, wrote it about two rival gangs at her high school. But if you google the similarity, there are plenty of sites who address that, too. I have never read The Outsiders or seen West Side Story. Mostly because I knew enough about both not to be interested.

It's a beautiful sunny but slightly snowy (~ 6 in. [15 cm])day here. I went to my meeting then stopped by the grocery store and was irritated because they didn't have fresh basil. I had hoped to make a puff pastry tomato tart later, but I guess not. Dried basil wouldn't do nearly as well.

First world problems! 😁

I have some Christmas shopping to do but am avoiding the weekend crowds. I'll do it during the day this coming week.

Now it's time for me to get to work. 🖥️

My widows' group was fortunate to have a woman who got us into the Fox on several occasions. Then there was a scandal and the freebies dried up. Love the Fox. I remember Dreangirls with Jennifer Hudson.

My daughter just rang on her way back from taking her new puppy to visit the pet shop Santa Clause... lol

It's a 25 minute drive... and I told her I'd cancelled the Physio for today because of the dire weather forecast....but in fact it had got sunny by mid-day... she said it had been torrential where she is.. 2 hours north of me... and had been triple wiper weather.... but she said.''mum you were right to not go out because this is the last pay day weekend before Christmas and the traffic is a nightmare, made all the worse by the bad weather''

Normally I hide at home on Black Friday (the day before and after Christmas, too). However, we are expecting a few days of bad weather, and Dio wanted to stock up of groceries so that there would be no need to battle the elements.

Actually, I'm really happy that I went. The roads were empty, and so was the store!!!! Plus I got that great Warm-up Jacket at less than half price!! It was one of the easiest Wal-Mart trips I've ever had!

I would have been even happier yet, if I had remembered to buy coffee! 😒

Something that I thought was interesting:
Although I enjoyed the West Side Story movie, I was told that the book was very, very different.....and better!

Now that you've reminded me, I ment to get around to reading that book, but never did. I'll have to see if my library has it. 📚

They've got it. It's been on tons of high school reading lists over the years. It's also been banned a few times, at least.

I think if someone writes a book that ends up being a staple on HS reading lists, they've got it made!
