Last night, I called Marcia asking if she & hubby Dave were available to come to brunch after church service,so I made the reservation for noon, its my gift to them their anniv is Monday
When I woke up this morning at 6:20 looked out bedroom window, we had couple inches of snow on ground.I went out for a very short walk at 6:50 temp was 32 with a slight breeze. I didn't go far,the driveway by our lobby was plowed so I walked up/down a couple of times
This morning at 10,Marcia&Dave are picking me& neighbor Bill up to attend our 10:30 church service
After brunch, read local paper, talk with my brother, may go out for another walk this afternoon
Everyone have a great day

Good morning to everyone. It will be 80 degrees today so will be going out for a while this morning.

My husband wanted a strawberry shake this morning so I made one but I forgot how to do it. Somehow, I made him one. The blender goes so fast it will mix anything.

I hope you all stay well and have a good day. :)

Hubby shot a 4 point buck, Saturday.

Son is out hoping to get a deer today.

Oldest son got his car in the trailer & tied down.
He is on the road heading home to Michigan.

IF the roads are clear & dry, not crowded it should be about a 6 hour drive.

I should get my self back in the kitchen.

Hope every one has a peaceful day.

Do you keep the meat or donate it? Tennessee has a program to donate deer meat to those who are less fortunate. It goes to the processor, gets packaged and distributed.

Safe journey back to Michigan for your son; especially pulling a car hauler. Watching the weather channel it honestly isn’t looking too great. Hopefully he can lay down a lot of miles before the roads get to where they’re not drivable.🙏🙏

I had a bad tummy yesterday, and I'm still recovering. I think I have food poisoning from some milk that might have been past it's prime......very painful.

Today, my tummy still hurts, but it's much, much better than it was yesterday. I'm sipping on my cuppa, and I don't think it's hurting my tummy any worse than it was when I got up. The next test will be breakfast.....

Well it's 5.45pm... dark and just 3 deg c currently...

I've got a cough which I've had now for several days and it's beginning to annoy me.. it's much worse for about an hour after I wake...

I thought maybe it was caused by the Airwick air freshener which I have in the loo.. which sprays out into the hall every 30 minutes.. but I stopped it off completely to see if there was an improvement in my coughing and there hasn't been.

if I inhale some Clenil Modulite, it seems to ease it for a day or 2... but I don't like to rely on that .... I hate the idea that I have to try and see a doctor again. and the 3 week minimum wait and then only to see a locum.... it seems to have been all doctors and medical appointments since July and the accident..

anyway... this week I must try and find a hairdresser who has appointments available... a big ask at this time of year.... and get my hair cut before Christmas and the festivities... 🥳🤩

I'm feeling mentally over-stimulated from working on my 2026 budget. It's both scary and fun to vicariously be spending money for the whole year (that's what budgeting feels like to me).
I've signed up for a bus trip to Cape Cod in May, and a European Rhine River Cruise in June. Haven't paid for them yet so that is hanging over me like the sword of Damocles (except I know when these swords will drop! eek!).
Today is dark and rainy and I have a lot of chores to do.

Those trips sound like so much fun, @HoneyNut! Someday . . .

It's bright and sunny here, but cold: 7 F/–14 C (–3F/–19 C tonight, brrrrr). I've been at the computer working and doing some online Christmas shopping, which spurred me to get back to work. 😁 I'm cutting back, but everything adds up so darn fast.

I'll be heading out in a bit to run a couple of quick errands, then will be back in my warm apartment, working again.

I'll fit some lazy time in, too, of course.

Good Morning

Just booked to see The Magic of the Beatles in March in Newport.
Just £25.

Managed to get my favourite seat with eons of leg room!

Awaiting news of new glasses…should be ready this week

Will brave the rain and go out for lunch.

Asda delivery tomorrow…
it's going to be raining off an on all day here as well..I'm going to wait until Tuesday or wednesday when it's dry and sunny before I go out....

I was literally up all night and didn't go to sleep until after sunrise. I slept a good part of the daylight hours. I did do some financial stuff, started the process of looking online for a mother of the groom outfit. I'm leaning toward a pant suit. I really like the one pictured below that I found on Amazon, but the seller got a bad rating, especially for returns, so I'll be looking in brick and mortar stores or online stores that are have good order and return policies in case the item doesn't fit right. Burgundy is the themed color. I also spent some time on Ancestry and catching up with posts here.

Saturday evening at our most upscale retail area, enjoyed an hour at an outdoor Christmas tree event, watching groups of people pose for smartphone photos in front of the highly decorated tree. Especially fun, was watching all the families with little kids and dogs. Was outside in chilly mid 40Fs and up till 1:30am.

Today, Sunday, the last day of November, has been a dreary, chilly, low breeze, marine overcast day in low 50Fs. Quiet Sunday at home except for attending an evening mass. On TV, watched the 49ers defeat the Browns and now have the sound off with the NBC Sunday Night Football game on. Tomorrow, Monday evening, am expecting to drive 45 miles north for a Dead jam band club event.

This thin 135 pound person easily becomes cold but as an outdoor enthusiast and skier, has learned how to dress warmly. I've been recently wearing the below $221 expensive 800 fill goose down pants, I bought just for skiing as a mid layer, underneath my Levi 511 jeans both indoors in my residence and out on the street. Have been surprised how well they fit this person as a mid layer under already narrow 511s. I also have a complementing expensive Eddie Bauer 600 fill goose down jacket mid layer that am also wearing now beyond just skiing. The down layers really do provide more warmth than any other fabrics.

I'm prepped and ready to get my colonoscopy OVER with this morning. I'm drinking a cup of hot water instead of coffee and it's surprisingly comforting.
I found chicken broth to also be comforting yesterday when on all liquids.

My Christmas decorations are up!
Our Christmas dinner is here on the 14th so will be prepping for that.. Charcuterie is what I'm doing. Or, as we used to call it, heavy snacks for grazing.

We have a pescatarian in our family so I always try to include seafood somewhere in the meal. This time will be shrimp scampi on crostini and maybe a smoked salmon dip.
Don't forget the little ones with picky palettes! Macaroni and cheese with pepperoni inside of a biscuit ball. They'll eat crackers and cheese and things too. I'm hungry....😒 😊

Morning all, I took a very short walk at 6:50 am temp was 25,driveway/sidewalks by our front lobby some spots were icy,so I walked back & forth on the dry parts for about 5 min
My plan this morning do monthly paperwork to see how much I spent last month I may go out mid morning if the driveway/sidewalks are decent. I'll be doing NYT crossword puzzle online since the paper won;t be delivered until tomorrow
Everybody have a good day

I wear the down long underwear for motorcycle riding and still hunting big game at extremely low temps, 0°F and below, but I could never wear them alpine skiing as I would be drenched in sweat in about 3 turns. I can understand why they would be great for some, but I'm a much bigger, wider person that generates massive amount of heat when I'm active.

In a bit of good news, skiing starts on Wednesday on the WROD, or the "white ribbon of death" which is narrow paths of man made snow surrounded by trees and sage brush. Lots of folks getting their legs in shape and timing back, skiing at mach speeds in confined space makes for a dangerous combination. One needs one's head on a swivel, but a least the tourists won't be here! I am ready physically since I've been actively pursuing my pre season work outs which are the most intense of the year. I get a laugh out of people complaining about their conditioning on lift rides the first month or so of the season.
