How Much Coffee Do You Drink?

I drink two cups per week: One on Saturday after breakfast, the other on Sunday after breakfast......never WITH breakfast.

Just plain Folgers Coffee, with Cream and Sugar.

I need no more per week than those two.

I have two cups of Melitta Classic Lite reduced caffeine and acidity brewed in my french press in the morning. Once in awhile during the summer I have iced coffee around 3pm. I like mine with Splenda and vanilla International Delight creamer.

I will be the official negative one here and say I do not drink coffee at all. Not iced, chilled , hot, flavored. None at all. Never developed a taste for it.

I'm with you, never liked coffee or tea. Now, my late wife could drink 6 cups of hi-test and fall asleep with the cup on her finger. She worked 35 years of midnight shift, that could have been the reason..... I only drink Pepsi Max or Coke Zero if I have to drive a long distance, so about once every 3 months.

One 16 oz. cup every morning. If we're away from home, I'll find a Starbucks, etc. and usually go with a 20 or 22 oz. of their dark brew. At home, in the morning, I have an insert for the Keurig where I can use regular ground coffee. Use Folgers "Dark Silk". Dark, rich, strong, and straight. Then I will have a 14 oz. cup during the evening, before bed. That's when I pop a pod in the Keurig. Usually Green Mountain Black Magic. I never drink decaffeinated. I never add anything to the coffee. And, don't give me any of that "fru-fru" coffee that is flavored. Again... black and strong and straight!!!!

I still drink almost a full pot of coffee in the mornings. It takes 2-3 cups just to wake me up. I dearly love waking up at 4am and drinking 'til 6am. Then I'm so energized I do my 2mile walk with headphones to music and it's the best part of my day. When I oversleep and only get one cup of coffee before my 6:30 walk with my walk partner, I feel like a slug.

In the old days (pre Keurig) , it'd be a half a pot in the morning and that's it. Nowadays, one cup in the morning and that's it. Those Keurig pods are expensive!

Zero, back around 1970 the doctor told me to stop drinking it, it was irritating my gizzard. I haven't drank any since.

When I was in the Navy in the late 50s the coffee was like liquid laxative, I didn't drink it much then either.

Instead of evening coffee, I'll just fill a cocktail glass half full of crushed ice from the fridge, add a jigger of 80-proof Rum, then fill with Coca Cola.

I have 2 of these every evening between 6 and 8 PM, one before Supper and one after.

Life is Good...Here's to You!

We watch for the better coffee pods to go on sale at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. Wife always seems to have 15% or 20% coupon which brings the cost per pod down. I try to buy the 24 or 48 pod packs which are a better buy. Can get the cost down to around 30 cents/pod.

I have made literally hundreds of cups of coffee in the Keurig with the plastic pod made for regular ground coffee. The plastic unit takes one of the typical coffee scoops. Makes a 16 oz. cup of REALLY good coffee. We buy the large size ground coffee when it goes on sale at the grocery store.

My wife won't touch coffee. So, it's just me... or if one of the daughters is here they will sometimes us a pod. I don't think the cost using the plastic pods with regular coffee would be any more than a Mr. Coffee type brewer. And, I don't have filters to buy.

Guess I'm an outlier here. When I was strictly a coffee drinker, I never kept track. Kept hot water going in the coffee maker all day, and just kept making instant coffee (Folgers). You might call it chain coffee drinking. :) At first regular, then switched to decaf, black no sugar, probably weaker than most would like. Almost no calories.

Now I've switched mostly to tea (regular). Same thing. Probably at least 10-15 cups a day, with artificial sweetener. It's just a habit. Better than nibbling on food. Never had trouble sleeping, so I never tried to change. May switch back to coffee one day.
