How much do you spend for a haircut?

Wow. I am truly amazed so many of you cut your own hair! OMG I have no talent in that dept. at all. I cut my own bangs once when I was a teen and I had a hard time cutting them straight. I kept cutting, not considering that once dry, they would be a whole lot shorter. So, from that time on, I have relied on the professionals. I see a woman that has cut my hair for the past eighteen years. Think right now, $35.

Well, my first attempt was when I was probably 9 and cut my bangs using my mother's pinking shears. Yes, it looked hilarious.
 
I've been going to the same barber shop for 30 years and the price now is $10.00.

I told them that since I have less hair to cut now than I did 30 years ago that they should be charging me less but they didn't go for it. :)
 
I've got to give everyone a BIG THANK YOU for the pricing information!!!! I have a friend who is a beautician, but, really she's more like a sister because we grew up in each other's home. She does my hair but she refuses my money and I want to pay her something! I have asked her over and over to let me pay but no, she won't do it. I've even asked for a compromise with a cheaper price but no, she won't hear of it. But, what I have been doing is, when she is out of the room, I slip some cash into her cash box. So, far it has been working. I had been wondering if it was enough so this helps me with how much to give her. I just feel better to pay her at least some otherwise, I feel as if she's letting me take advantage of her. Thanks again everyone!
 
$17 and that includes the $5 tip. The lady works hard and has kids to support. And, they are the cheapest in my area.
 
My haircuts cost $9, and I give the barber 10. The wife's beauty shop charges about $25 for her monthly trim.
