The Vaccine, I know that most have to pay for it, while
we in the UK get it for free, I just wondered if they are
charging you a fair price, as all the scientific work and
component purchase was funded by Governments, at
least it is being funded here I believe.

Quite certain it is covered by OHIP here in Ontario.

Here in BC (British Columbia, Canada), the Covid vaccine is free to all.

It's in the country's interests to get as many people vaccinated as possible, so it should be free for everyone.

The web-site for our Medicare Advantage plan says the shot will be free....same as the flu shot.

"Vaccine doses purchased with U.S. taxpayer dollars will be given to the American people at no cost. However, vaccination providers will be able to charge an administration fee for giving the shot to someone."

I suspect that compared to the costs of hospitalizations etc from people who get serious Covid illnesses, the health insurance companies in the USA will probably be highly motivated to make vaccination affordable (I remember when I did foster care one time the birth control method cost $1000 for the teenage girl and I was surprised Medicaid was willing to pay and the rep told me it was a bargain for them compared to covering the costs of having a baby).

It was some sort of implant under the skin that would last a long time. I'd never heard of it before that, must have been invented after my menopause.
