How much of a procrastinator are you?

worst rocrastinator in the world.

Remember the song? Manana is soon enough for me.

But sometimes it works to your benefit. I was late selling some shares and had to keep them.

They doubled in value and are aying a dividend.

Usually I never procrastinate, but if it's something I dread doing, then yes, I'll put it off as long as I can.

In my working days I learned to do the worst things first, it frees the mind from worrying about it over and over again.

It's sort of like eating your Brussels sprouts first so you can relax and enjoy the strawberry shortcake.

Procrastination is my middle name.. Which is why I am rushing to get paperwork, done that was due last month 0.o

I am definitely not a procrastinator. I can't sit still until the job is done. My problem is staying on track. I get distracted and end up adding more jobs to the one I am already doing. Then I get tired and grumpy. The hubby says I do jobs that don't need doing. In his book maybe.

I can go both ways, sometimes I do it and get it over with and sometimes I put it off indefinitely. If it's something really important, I usually want to take care of it, if it's going to be a grey cloud over my head until it gets done.

I'm the same way. At work, I usually tried to get the worst thing out of the way first, if possible. My work had immovable externally imposed deadlines, so I didn't have much wiggle room to procrastinate. Now that I'm retired, I'm getting to be an expert at procrastination.

I am the same way as SeaBreaze.

I've always told myself, "Do the worst-est.. first-est."

I was like that during my working days and mostly the same now. If I don't, it will dog me till I do it.

Sometimes I'll think to give myself a little reward after I get it done. That helps.. :very_drunk:

I always did the easy stuff first at work. Got some 'marks' under my belt and made me more confident.

Starting with a hard project sometimes leads to an all day frustrating job when nothing is accomplished.

At home. I make a list and stroke them off as they get accomplished. Sometimes you need extra tools. Sometimes you need extra help. And most of the time you need extra money.:D

If I've got something that needs doing and I HATE or dread doing it, I do it and get it over with. I don't like it hanging over my head!!!!! It will nag at me until I do if I don't just go ahead and do it!

A Cuban told me "manaña does not mean tomorrow, it means NOT TODAY".
