How much soda do you drink in a week? What kind? Diet vs Sugar?

I am allowed by my doctor one soda a week. It has to be diet, of course. Currently Sprite Zero.

I drink one a day. Never a diet one as they constrict blood vessels. My nuero doctor and pcp say for me to never use the diet ones as I want to avoid another massive stroke. I don't drink a whole one and usually buy the small cans on sale. They are the right size to drink in a day. Only buy cokes when on sale. The day I pay full price for a 12 pack is the day I stop drinking them.

A 2-litre regular Pepsi every 2/3 days. Yeah, I know, too much. I love the stuff.

In the summer I drink more iced tea, lemonade, club soda, and water.

I like ginger ale a couple of times a week too, enjoying a Q ginger ale right now, much less sweet than the name brands. I'm not a soda drinker, but I do drink plain seltzer (carbonated water) with no salt, sugar or added ingredients, and spring waters like Perrier.

ZERO! Carbonated, sugar water rots your guts and your teeth. Many studies substantiate the same. Carbonic acid is not something anyone should be imbibing. Stomach, intestine and anal problems can all be traced back to carbonated, sugar water drinks, in susceptible individuals. Yes, I know, many live to a ripe old age, and drink many cans of pop a day. Thing is, why risk poor health, when this garbage is easily avoidable. Drink water.

I have a small diet Coke once a week when we go to town

it washes down the burger

Diet, because the regular Coke tastes nothing like it used to

Other'n that, it's Langer's juice, but water throughout the day...lotsa sweet mountain water

I'm not going to answer except to say that the debates on diet vs regular vs no soda at all are getting as heated as politics could be just like the debates on lots of supplements & no Rx vs hardly any supplements & lotsa Rx vs nothing at all because somebody or other is listening to their body & it ain't saying anything.
Seems like these days, discussing food & medicine is getting as heated as politics & religion.

I try to hold myself down to one a week, but often I stray from my ambition. No more than two a week, though.

AND, it has to be fully-loaded. No caffeine-free, diet stuff for me. I want sugar and I want caffeine. I want that surge of the afore-mentioned two ingredients as they charge through my veins. I have the extra taste buds, so anything diet tastes nasty to me. Mexican Coca-Cola is my favorite, as it has real sugar, instead of high fructose corn syrup. American Coke comes in second, followed by A&W Root Beer with Vernor's Ginger Ale bringing up the rear.

Mostly, though, I drink unsweetened iced tea and water. When I'm being good, that is.....

I will occasionally have a small can of Coke Zero, mostly because one of my clients drinks it and if it's there, and I'm in the mood, I might help myself to one. But personally I don't buy soda, don't order it with meals, it's never on hand or in my fridge.

I rarely ever have a Coke..or any kind of fizzy pop... I like coke, used to drink it a lot in my younger years but it really gasses me out now.. so I maybe have a couple a year, usually when it's really hot, in the summer and Coke with loads of ice is the only thing that's ever cold enough.

I drink a lot of Mineral water.. with Ice in the summer, and without in the winter...

I never drank sodas, and told my family to stop drinking that bad stuff and ruining their health. Then sometime back, while dealing with heartburn issues, I started craving Coke ... regular Coca-Cola. ??? I bought a small bottle and it relived the burning symptoms in my throat immediately. Doesn't make sense, but it worked. Drinking it at room temp., not cold.
With that great feeling, I bought a 6 pk of 16 oz bottles to keep on hand ever since . ... my husband must be turning in his grave.

Bonnie, in the old days we used to get coke syrup from the drug store to settle upset stomach and or vomiting.

Gee, maybe I'm trying to relive something? I know that I like to drink it WARM .. it's stronger that way.
Of course, the coke sold these days is nothing like the stuff sold back in the day! The formula for that Coke was so different from today.

I love soda but in recent years drink only diet soda, and have cut down on that
for health reasons. I miss the sugar but now I drink flavored water.
I like cola with rum.
