gas/electric are both on the same bills, around $68 per month total.
What about trash pick up, water, waste water, road usage/maintenance?gas/electric are both on the same bills, around $68 per month total.
Landlord deals with the first two, last two I have no idea. From taxes, maybe? What about trash pick up, water, waste water, road usage/maintenance?
Mine was electric alone at 80. My gas was 30. Water and sewage is included in my rent which is 645.00 per month not including parking garage which is 40. per mo.In reading over these bill postings, I must ask: Do your bills include water, waste water, trash pick up, and road usage/maintenance? My electric bill, at $223, is all of those, rolled into one. I especially was amazed that a five bedroom house, with a pool, in my neighboring town of Houston, could possibly have such a low bill. Before we drained and covered our 42x24 inground pool, our monthly bill, in the summer, made it to $340, and that was twenty years ago!
I forgot to add trash disposal is included in my rent of 645. For a 1 bdrm. And one bath apt.In reading over these bill postings, I must ask: Do your bills include water, waste water, trash pick up, and road usage/maintenance? No; that is electric only. We pay $68 every 3 months for trash pickup and about $65 a month for water/sewer.In reading over these bill postings, I must ask: Do your bills include water, waste water, trash pick up, and road usage/maintenance? Is balanced billing similar to what they have here called Budget Billing- pay the same amount for 6 months, then they assess energy usage to see if it needs to increase or decrease? No; that is electric only. We pay $68 every 3 months for trash pickup and about $65 a month for water/sewer.
Incidentally, the $260 a month is "balanced billing." We pay the same amount every month all year long, so the actual summer billing is higher. Natural gas bill is about $30/month in summer but close to $100 in winter months for gas furnace.
Yes; it sounds similar. They calculate the average of 12 months usage for the "balanced" bill. Then at the end of 12 months, it is recalculated so it goes up/down depending on our annual usage. Is balanced billing similar to what they have here called Budget Billing- pay the same amount for 6 months, then they assess energy usage to see if it needs to increase or decrease?
Hi Hollydolly I too was with British Gas, the new one is calledI may be moving to the USA sometime soon.. your fuel bills are sooooo low...

Yeah. Since the thread title is "how much is your electric bill," that was my answer.Ah-ha! Now, this makes sense, to me.
So, you pay $260+about $23+$65=about $350/mo., in Houston. I paid about the same, in Austin when we had the pool going, although it was a good while ago. Now, I pay $223/mo., balanced billing.
Yeah, I just think of my bill, with all of its added charges, as my "electric bill," as do most folks I know, in Austin. I suppose i should have dug the latest one out and gone through the itemized breakdown, to specifically zone in on the electricity part of it. Didn't happen.Yeah. I've never lived anywhere and had a "combo" bill like yours. Our garbage pickup is a commercial company (Waste Management), our water/sewer is provided through the local water control district, natural gas provider is Reliant Energy, etc. Each bill is separate since they are separate entities. We are outside the city limits, so no city services.Yeah, I just think of my bill, with all of its added charges, as my "electric bill," as do most folks I know, in Austin.
