How often do you dust?

I dust when someone 6'3 walks in and says, I see you haven't dusted up here, like the fireplace mantle.
That would be my daughter's fiancé.

I dust whenever I get around to it, which isn't very often. Here in NM with all the wind and dust, you can dust in the morning and it will look terrible by evening, anyway.

I'm walking down our hall, I see a dust bunny, I pick it up, I throw it in the trash. End of dusting.

We have wood heat, and a lot of dust so I should do it pretty often. I don't. I do have one grandson who must be OCD as about every time he visits he cleans and organizes one thing. A bookshelf, my pantry and over New Years it was the top of the refrigerator. I have several bookshelves with books and DVDs on them so dusting is quite a chore. If you leave dust alone it'll just make an even gray haze over things and it'll all look the same unless some smart alec comes along and writes in it, which no one would dare to do that in my house.
