But if you change like the wind......thats not good either....
its a daily struggle...

Intelligence has a fluidic component, but people differ in regards to their cognitive flexibility. In some ways I am more flexible now than I was when I was young, simply due to having far greater life experiences and being able to "cross-reference" those broader perspectives in which there may be validity...

I am always open to changing my views and perspectives. My ability to assess information is greater because my experience is broader so there is more comparative perspective. It's a double edged sword though, because even though I have far greater experience to draw from to change my view, you're going to have to present me with information that I don't already know in order for me to change.

I have a very curious nature. I will investigate all sides of an issue, listen to all arguments and then try to think through to my own conclusion but I lean heavily toward fairness, logic, common sense and decency. Simply 'doing the right thing' is important to me and I give a lot of thought to just what the right thing really is.

What do you do if you don't believe anything is the truth? Once something happened to my inner ear and the whole world became a boat on the high seas. The floor slanted back and forth with every step. Everything I held onto moved too. If something that small can alter my sense of reality, what else is out there.

That's where serious investigation and common sense steps in. Making a statement loud enough and often enough does not make it a fact.

What a sensation. I had that. Even in bed I was sailing the ocean.

Getting drunk without having to pay for it.

I was driving my car and I shouldn't have been.

When I stopped it felt like I was still moving.

I'm set in my ways about a lot of things.

Even OCD about certain things and the way they should be done.

But I'm always open to new ideas..doesn't mean I will accept them.:)

Some things are just ingrained in ya.....What's ya gonna do.....πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

ive managed to improve my guitar playing and open my mind up to jazz.
ive always had either a dislike of jazz as too ad lib/ improv. OR that jazz was for only cool elite musicians.
opening my mind up like this makes life far more interesting imo.

if i can just make a quick mention of politics. ive seen a big shift in the last 3 years. in my world view i mean. one side of politics doesnt have all the answers ive discovered. nor does the other. but i still have a preference.

Yes, there are points of view I have changed my mind about. Mostly due to do feelings, or logic or persuasion.

This is such an excellent answer.

I’m always willing to listen to others discuss their opinions respectfully but I also expect the same courtesy. I love differences of opinion, I find it stimulating.
