How to add chocolate morsels to rice crispies squares

I like to add extra ingredients. Nuts are no problem, but stirring in candy morsels is. They melt, but if I wait for the square batter to cool, they are impossible to incorporate.

You may have to go with sprinkling on top.

Maybe you have to monitor the temperature closely and then pounce to stir them in and spread out in a pan at the right moment?
