How to disable "PUSH NOTIFICATION"

Perhaps this has been covered, but if do, I can't find it.
I am not interested in push notification and turn off the request to allow it.
"Senior Forums would like your permission to enable push notifications. "
Deleting this message results in the following options

• Enable notifications Ask me another time
• Never ask again

I select "Never ask again"

Still on the next logon, the request appears again. What's going on, or don't I understand "Never ask again"?

I have always had 'never ask again ' selected... however @Matrix disabled it a while back...

I don't really know what "push notifications " are, but I don't like the sound of them.
