Oh good.
With my thumbless right hand and not so good left I try to avoid buying that type of opener.
Sometime I have been able to turn can upside down
and use my electric opener but they don't always fit so I have to ask a neighbour to pull it .

I've been using that method for donkeys' years... I prise up the ring with a blunt knife.. then slide the handle of a spoon into the ring and pull back

I have some pretty tough can lids.

Some of those "convenient" can tab openers are brutal on fingers. I've stuck them in my countertop can opener a time or two. I've wondered if that works on all of those tab cans. The spoon idea looks good. I'll try that.
