How to remove quotes from a reply?

I have started a reply w a quote of another post and then decided I don't want the quote - how do I edit it out? I've removed 1 or 2 by clicking on the quote button, but I have some stubborn ones I can't remove using that method. Nor have I found a way to delete the reply and begin anew. Thanks.

Go back to your post with the quotes .. click edit ... highlight everything, and right click CUT ... and start again.

Click edit below your reply. Then move the cursor to the unwanted quote, highlight the unwanted part, and delete it. Remember to click save.

You can't delete sn entire post. Best you can do is delte a postd'scontent, then type a couple of commas, and save that.

Hope that helps.

It wasn't readily apparent that the box would disappear which would have left the screen name visible. I wonder if the browser(Brave) I'm using interferes w the quote removal function?

You have 48 posts ... just maybe the functions for everything aren't available until you have more posts ... ???? Dunno
Sorry for the confusion.
