How To Tell If Your Avocado Is Ready

I love avocados but don't buy them to often. Thanks Radishrose for the tip on how to pick them. I was never really sure.Very good for you but high in calories and here in New Jersey very expensive. When I do I always grow the pit for fun. They don't grow here but I stared this one about a month ago and will transplant into soil and then put in my garden just to see what it will do over the summer.avacodo1 (800x600).jpgavacado2 (800x600).jpg

Aloha - I have a large avocado tree in my back yard. But I've lived here 2+ years and have not had one fruit on the tree. (I also have 3 pineapples growing in the back yard, along with a couple of dwarf banana trees....)
