How would you think the glass would be removed from...

Just wanted to make sure before I got on a 8 foot step ladder and started fumbling with it. I am gradually replacing incandescent bulbs with LEDs.
I say just don't. The ladder alone sounds risky. I had a light just like that in my laundry room. One day the nipple bit fell off with the heavy glass still on it and made a big dent in the top of my dryer -- a big dent that was almost in my head.

I did manage to get the globe down from the kitchen light. The nipple unscrewed, bit there was another nut to loosen. Just a few dead daddy-long-legs in it. The light bulbs weren't what I was expecting. There was a burned out bulb (the curly looking one). I replaced it. The other bulb is cylindrical shaped. I've never seen one like that. Now it puzzled me as to why there were two different style bulbs. Also, there is some kind of reflecting foil over the bulbs. Again, getting the glass cover back in place was challenging being 8 feet in the air on a step ladder.
