Saw the post about the hundreds of deer killed by lightening. Brought to mind....

A stretch of Interstate in Kansas began seeing hundreds of dead crows along the shoulder of the highway. Biologists from an number of universities were brought in to find the cause. Was it a disease? Was it road kill? After exhaustive forensic study, it was determined all these birds were being hit by trucks running down the highway. None were killed by cars, only trucks. More study was initiated to find why. An Ornithological Behaviorist... a bird psychologist... finally hit upon the answer. Crows tend to be scavengers and groups of them would land in the highway to pick at road kill. As they were scavenging the road kill, one crow was always posted on a nearby fence post or highway sign to give warning of approaching danger. The reason they were all being hit by trucks and not cars?? The lookout crow could only scream "Caw, Caw, Caw!!" He couldn't say "Truck, Truck, Truck!":)

Walking past an Insane Asylum I heard a voice saying "12" "12" "12" over and over again I saw a hole in the fence and looked in and got poked in the eye. Then I heard "13" "13" "13"..
