Location
Connecticut, USA
Is expected to stay offshore but bring rough surf to coastal Massachusetts.

As it moves west in the Atlantic, Erin is not expected to hit any land areas through the weekend, but it will strengthen in the warm waters.

"The biggest threat to the East Coast looks to be a rip current risk and some huge waves that will hit the Carolinas.'

I googled some of the models. It doesn't look like a major threat to the US, except possibly for the outer banks of North Carolina.

Erin is actually forecast to bring rough surf and rip currents all up and down the east coast. Two people already drowned at the N.J. shore in separate incidences, but not due to Erin. After those drownings, however, vigilance has been heightened. I called my cousin who lives in Puerto Rico to see if she and her property are okay. Of course she is state side; in fact the next town over from me with her son and DIL. She's always someplace else but her neighbors keep her apprised of what's going on. She doesn't live near water, she has a generator and her house is concrete, so the hurricanes never adversely affect her. I feel bad for those who will become (or have become) flood and wind damage victims.
