You and your freind need something from the corner store. Your friend volunteers to go. As your friend is pulling away you holler, "Buy me a couple Mega Lottery tickets and I'll pay you when you get back." Well, it turns out you won the jackpot. Question: Should you share a portion of your winnings with that person a share of the winnings? Second question: What if the table was turned and you bought them for your friend, would you believe you should get a portion of the winnings? Please disregard the various state laws pertaining to this as it is directed more at your conscious.

I'm not sure but I would probably give them a token portion of the winnings.

It's tough because no matter what you feel is an appropriate amount it will not be enough to satisfy a person who expects it.

I have a feeling that the person would end up becoming a former friend. :):playful::eek:nthego:

If I bought the tickets for a friend I would not feel entitled to a portion of the winnings but I wouldn't turn it down if offered.

If I win I will definitely go back and give the person that sold me the ticket a sizeable life-changing gift.

1st scenario. your money your win.

2nd. Not clear your money again or you used your money and the friend paid you back? His money his win.

It's money, spent by who ever won.

I'd share my good fortune with my friend. For life. :love_heart: How could anyone not be generous at such a moment?

Aside from attorney and accountant, I would not tell ANYONE that I won.
So, the answer is nope.
It takes a month to collect, so I might anonymously help the person if they needed something, but not for life.

I would have no problem being treated the same. Picking up a ticket at the store for someone who happens to get lucky doesn't entitle me to a lifetime of luxury.

It would depend on the amount and the friend, like applecruncher I wouldn’t tell a soul and would make no quick decisions

I myself would spit the amount and give it to the friend who bought the ticket, I would hope he would do the same, but if not that is kewl too, Started out with nothing, end up with nothing. But I truly believe any of my very close friends would do the same as I would! Probably never going to happen in my lifetime, so no need to worry about it, But good question though...

would give some money to them for getting it and winning of course -
but not sure if I
told them how much i got ??
white lie comes to mind here act ………… family first I say -
