I’m usually the oldest person in the room

I was always 5 years younger than our friends because most of them were my husbands age, when we moved to Florida most of our friends were in there 30’s n 40’s my daughters age, we got along much better with that age group the people our age were just boring n old before their time.

For so many years when I'd discuss where to go with my friends, I'd say, "well that's an older crowd"
(to avoid!)--- then gradually one day I realized that I am in the old group. And all that changed.
Now that all events in the city are for younger crowd---anyone under 50.

I'm at that age when I go to a doctor fairly near that I haven't seen before, the nurses always ask "Sir, do you need a wheelchair?" I say "No ma'am, but would you let me leave my bicycle here on in the foyer so it will be safe, its pretty expensive?"

My whole life when i socialized (not as much as most people, ever) it was generally in extremely diverse groups in various ways. Ages of those around me especially was not something i gave or give much thought to, if we had some common ground we met there.
