I am having this procedure done in a few weeks.....

Well, can`t get it to work but if you Google MD Anderson microscopic glass beads it will come up.Very interesting procedure....

Mrs R...are you telling us you have Liver Cancer ? ☹️
Yes,I do. I wrote about it a month or so ago,you may have missed it. Didn`t know for sure that it was cancer at the time, they were just pretty sure it was.Apparently liver cancer is one that they can pretty much diagnose with an MRI. They will do a biopsy as part of the prep for this procedure and if it turns out not to be cancer, then of course there will be no need for the procedure. But based on what the MRIs are showing and the fact they they are growing, they are quite certain.

Oh I'm so sorry Mrs R... of course I wish for you everything you're wishing for yourself.. 🤗

My thoughts and prayers. My hubs had a similar procedure to fix a large subdural hematoma. It used to require brain surgery. But now they use a catheter to deliver "crystals" that stop the bleed. The neurosurgeon at Mayo said when he started his residency there in 2018 it was new and they were just learning the procedure. Now he said "We do dozens everyday!".

My very best hopes & wishes for you, Mrs. R. (I was also interested by the article; I've just found out I have a liver cyst which I hope is all it is, but the article is something I'll keep in mind. Do you think that this new bead procedure is only done in large metro areas, I wonder?)

I can not say enough good things about the opportunities given by clincal trials. It can really make a difference in time and quality of life.

My husband was in one that had great success. When he was diagnosed with cancer, they said 8 months. He lived a happy life, was able to continue working, got to see his son's graduation, so many things. He won over cancer for 5 years and 1month. The drug was approved by the FDA just a few months after his passing. They are now treating pediactric brain cancer patients allowing families to be together longer and without all the bad side effects of chemo. I will keep you in my prayers, that this treatment will extend your life while letting you enjoy the things you did before diagnosis!

I live in Nampa,Idaho and have to go to Boise (20 minutes away) for the procedure.I can`t remember exactly where Porlock,CA is.You couldn`t be TOO far from a hospital that does this. Boise is not huge.

I think it may have been a clinical trial when this article was written, but it is now a tried and true treatment. They can only do it twice though-if lesions continue to develop, they will have to try a different, but similar, procedure.

I am just hoping I will continue to feel as good as I do now after the treatment. So far,I have no symptoms of anything at all. This was all discovered on a CT scan I had to check on a kidney cyst that was diagnosed in 2016.A followup MRI confirmed the liver legions and a second MRI 4 months later confirmed that they had increased in size a bit.

Well let's hope this will be a successful treatment for you. In addition would be good to stay on top of the advances and trials. You can go on NIH.gov. It has all the infor about clinical trials based on disease, where they are, if they are recruiting or closed. Let me know if you have trouble with the site but is very user friendly. That is where I found the clinical trial for my husband.

Sorry I missed seeing this thread. I'm very sorry you have Liver cancer. Have they mentioned liver transplant? I hope you can recover.🌹❤️
