Hi There. My name is Antony and I am new here. I live in New Zealand. I have trained many Seniors in the use of their Smart Technologies and I understand that not many have retirement plans? Perhaps that is not the case in the USA but it definitely is a problem in New Zealand. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kia Ora & Welcome Antony. My ex Kiwi wife and I had a home in Red Cliffs out of Christchurch for 20 years. We spent six months of each year in Roseville, California and the other six in NZ. We later moved up to Motueka to be near a daughter. My ex is in Samoa at the moment helping with the Cyclone cleanup. We are in weekly contact via the internet and email. This past Xmas was the first Xmas that I was not in NZ for 26 years. Given my age now I will not be seeing further holidays in NZ. Enjoy this Forum.

Welcome Anthony. I'm pretty good with smart technology but still learning. People not being prepared for retirement is a very big problem here in America. The stats are dismal. This is an excerpt from the Federal Reserve survey result published in the AARP magazine. "So how are current retirees paying for their golden years? About 75 percent cited Social Security, the survey found. Some 44 percent said pension plans. Nearly 32 percent had savings outside of a retirement account. Almost 29 percent had an IRA and nearly 19 percent said they were relying on a 401(k)-type plan." And in a 2014 article from The Street, a financial publication, nearly 50% in the 50 - 59 age category say they won't have enough to retire. This article has gives another grim report: .https://money.usnews.com/investing/...gly-truth-about-retirement-savings-shortfalls
