I broke my ankle at work on Oct 4th

Today I injected the last of the 42 blood thinner treatment needles.
Tomorrow I return to the hospital for x rays to see if the bone has healed sufficiently to start putting weight on my foot again.
I hope I can get rid of the crutches. 58 days hobbling around now.
Several days ago the rubber grommet on the end of one crutch deteriorated and the metal underneath was exposed.
As soon as I stepped onto my kitchen floor, the crutch, with no grip, (unbeknownst to me), slipped from under me and I fell heavily onto the floor hurting my shoulder immensely.
Please let me be rid of theses crutches.

I can understand your frustration! I never liked crutches, although they have a role in our healing process. Sorry that you slipped on the floor and hurt your shoulder! That's the last thing you need right now! Good luck with your x rays tomorrow. Hopefully, the bone has healed nicely.

Oh boy, that doesn't sound good. Are you going to go see the doctor about your shoulder, too?

Thank you. There is not a lot of pain in the ankle now so maybe it is healing as expected.

The shoulder pain has disappeared now so I doubt there is any lasting damage. I will mention it though.
