I came across this rarity in my travels.

Where did I find this operating relic?
Mogumber, a place 120 kms north of Perth in Western Australia.
It is what is called a settlement, not officially a townsite.
Population 58

It is the location where the Moore River East joins the Moore River.

As with the majority of places in Australia it has a pub. 😄
Called The Mogumber Hub (formerly Black Bull Tavern)

It was on the verge of closing down until The Mogumber Outback Club bought it and instigated renovations.
New Years Eve the Mogumber Rodeo happens. Attended by 3500 spectators. One has to book early as it is sold out every year

we still have plenty here...

We have no phone boxes here. And my hubby refuses to have a cell phone, so I worry when he is out and if he had to phone for some reason. I have a cell only for emergencies, no texting at all.
Then maybe you need to relay your concerns to your husband.
Even if he is steadfast, you can still upgrade your phone to be able to make calls. I urge your to do that

Nope he does not want a cell phone, of course, I have voiced my concerns. As for my cell phone, sorry, I was not clear - I can make calls on it, but mostly keep it for an emergency. Just no texting.
