I don't like gory movies or slasher films

I don't like gory movies or slasher films like Halloween or The Hills have eyes. I like Samson and Goliath movies where the strong and powerful are overcome by the small and insignificant. I like corporate and government corruption movies, spy and espionage movies. I like action movies, fighting, guns and things that go boom. Martial Arts and fantasy movies, I like history movies fact or fiction it doesn't matter.
I like drama movies like Pulp Fiction or 8 mile. Mystery Thriller movies like Get Out (2017) , Shutter Island, (2010) or the comedy; Game night (2018)
Thriller movies include; The Pelican Brief, Jason Bourne series and The Manchurian Candidate.
Horror movies, Hell-raiser franchise, The Exorcist (1973) The Shining (1980) jaws (1975)
Comedy movies, Blazing Saddles,(1974) Police Academy (1984), National Lampoon's Animal House (1978) The Blues Brothers (1980) and on and on.

For me the slashers are boring. Watch one, you've seen enough. Yet even then there are exceptions.

It is hard for me to express my tastes. There are movies of types I don't seek out that became favorites. "Has Anybody Seen My Gal" (1952) is a musical comedy I like to show people. Such a slice of historical Americana (1920s) and quite comical with fun characters.
