How and why do a group of people, born around a certain period, have similar hopes and asperations, which differ from the preceding generation?

Well, just my opine, but I'm thinking The Jackie Gleason Show (June Taylor) dancers had a tremendous influence on our generation




...and an awakening of sorts (at least for this four year old)

I aspired to be a judge at tryouts....still do




Thus, the mini skirt craze...or movement...yeah.....the mini skirt movement
