I got it for free...

The postal cosmetic company I use send a free gift with each order, the last one being a set of jewellery, matching pendant, earrings and a ring, I wouldn’t wear it myself but my elderly friend will be delighted to find it as an extra gift at Christmas

Pumpkins and gourds. Our town had a fall festival and they were giving them out. I have them on display and after Thanksgiving I will dry them and spray paint them. Then I will have them forever. More "stuff" for my daughter to throw out.

Saying they didn't shoot well in his gun a fella at the range a couple of weeks ago gave me about one and 1/2 boxes (75 rounds) of Remington .22 LR Thunderbolts......I'll shoot them up the next I head to the range.

A renovated gas/convenience store finally re-opened last week down the road. I went in to check it out and was given a freshly made sandwich on a bun. They sell snacks and coffee/tea, etc.

There IS a free lunch after all!

My dog, from someone who realized he couldn't take the type of care for the dog that it needed. And he also had a fancy long-haired cat. Maybe they didn't along? Whatever, but in the end free can end up being really expensive.

Yes -- my Bonnie has been plagued with medical issues since I first brought her home, but she is a blessing and so dear to me, and worth every penny I've spent on her. I wouldn't trade her for anything. She's pushing about 11 now (her real age is, of course, unknown) and that's getting up there for a big dog -- my heart will break when she goes, but the sadness will be worth it because of the joy and loving companionship she has brought to me.

I also got a "free" cat. They don't even have to have medical problems for it to add up.

I really do understand your love for Bonnie, and that no matter what, she's worth it.

I bought this great stainless steel cooking pot from a local MidEast grocer. It was marked at $22, a true bargain. When I got home, I found that I actually had not been charged for it, on my grocery tab. I took it back, the next day. The original checker, one of the owner's sons, took a look at it and told me we were clear, and that he appreciated me coming back in. I will always give this medium-sized grocery store my business!

A few weeks ago, I went to HD to buy a hitch receiver pin. They did not have what I needed, hanging on the wall, but the pin I needed was on the shelf, unwrapped and unmarked, in new condition. When I tried to find it on the HD website, it wasn't shown. The checker called the manager over, he looked at it, while I explained that somebody must have brought it in for a best match, then left it. The manager handed it back to me and said, "Merry Christmas, early!" This was a $10 part.

A super nice auto mechanic installed my new air filter for free.....

I got my oil changed somewhere else, guy said I need a new air filter but didn't sell them, so went to Advanced Auto and bought one.
On the way home I happened upon this auto garage and he put the filter in.....no charge. My lucky day.

Jar of McCormick Steak seasoning. It was the Kroger free item yesterday. Price was 1.99 but with digital coupon it was .00. Nice freebie!

When I was doing a lot of bike riding I sometimes found some pretty nice tools that had been dropped along side of the road. Among them was a 10 inch Diamond adjustable crescent wrench and a heavy duty pair of Klein Lineman's pliers. I also found a pretty nice 24 inch box level. know what brand it is. You would think that if something like that fell off someones truck it would get broken or knocked out of whack, but this one is in good shape. I guess you could call that getting stuff for free.
