Started taking Ingrezza yesterday for TD tardive dyskinesia, an uncontrollable, abnormal, repetitive movements of the face, torso and/or other body parts primarily caused by prolonged use of treatments that block dopamine receptors in the brain, such as antipsychotics commonly prescribed to treat mental illness.
Ingrezza is supplied through speciality pharmacies that treat rare diseases.
Potential side effects include, allergic reaction, hives, rash, itching, red swollen blisters, or peeling skin with or without fever. Wheezing, tightness, in chest or throat, trouble breathing, swallowing or talking. Unusual hoarseness, or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. Trouble controlling body movements, twitching, change in balance, trouble swallowing, or speaking, trouble moving around, shakiness, stiffness, Drooling not able to focus, dizziness, abnormal heartbeat,
Predicted Side effects expected to last 10 days. The side effects are a lot to contend with, however, I am led to believe at the close of two weeks side effects will not be an issue.
