I have never been told that before and don't quite know what to do or think or say. It's like grieving before they are gone. This person has gone through 4 years of prostate cancer and it wound up traveling to other parts of their body. He has been doing much better lately, but the news recently was devastating! I am sure it is more than devastating to him, and he accepts it but isn't ready. I can understand that, but........I know that 7% of the people who live for 5 years with this are very lucky. So, I kinda knew that either he was beating this or the inevitable was coming up.

My husband just lost a longtime friend that was told he had a limited time to live.

It's been hard on him, he's coming around slowly, but that's the ugly side of life, there are no guarantees for any of us.

I find comfort in hoping for the best for the person and that they don't suffer, that's really all we can do.

My best buddy passed last Tuesday of prostate cancer. It came then it went then it came back with vengeance and he suffered with pain and died. Prostate cancer can be very painful.
