I think my mattress has an attitude with me...

Yikes. I wake up with leg and hip pain.. OH MY!!!. Helps a little when I take a hot shower in the morning but wheww. My mattress is not old (3 yrs old). Hubby and I purchased it New...it has a dent (from sleeping in the same spot) not sure how to fix it. Not able to flip these new mattresses...arrrgghhh. I purchased Dr Teal's Foaming Bath Epsom Salt Vapor Bath. Will be trying it out tonight... I pray it helps with the leg and hip pain. When I sit.. no pain but it does get better during the day - today it wanted to linger on. I was thinking of getting a topper for my mattress. Do anyone know of a good topper for a Mattress? Don't want to waste my money.

My bed in the guest bedroom is a little better.. I alternate between beds.

I bought a topper for the twin bed in my daughters room which I use when my hubby snores. I got it from Kohls. It is 6" thick and works great. Very easy to turn and came with a 10 year warrantee. I paid under $100.00 for it which is far less than a new mattress and I didn't have to stretch out. in public, like you would in a mattress store.

I know just what you mean. I finally had to stop sleeping in my bed which is actually quite comfortable. I call it my "tempuredic waterbed". It's actually a cylinder based waterbed which has a topper that looks like a regular mattress. My husband and I got a tempurpdic topper for it that came with a quilted covering, making it extra comfy but years ago, I started waking up with aches similar to yours. My legs felt tight on whichever side I slept on. I also realized I needed to sleep with my head elevated. We looked for an adjustable, tempurpedic bed. Those are terribly expensive. We wouldn't have mind paying the price, but none were comfortable to me. After awhile I gave up and just started sleeping in my recliner. Haven't had that aggravating tightness since.

I hope you find what works for you. @Ruth n Jersey's solution sounds promising.

In the old days, some folks used to put boards under sagging mattresses to shore them up when they got saggy spots. Then, of course, you might get splinters or wind up as Pinocchio! And isn’t it amazing how much new mattresses cost?! You used to be able to buy an entry-level car for what they are now asking. No rest for the weary, I guess… 🙀 🛌

The best mattress I ever had was an old fashion waterbed. It was the kind you got sea sick, if you moved. Then the thing leaked. All mattresses have a life span. If yours is sagging with the weight of a sheet, you can imagine what it's doing when you add the weight of two adults. And look at the bright side. You might get a deal for National Mattress Sale Day, formally known as Presidents Day.
