I think this is a great idea.....

I could never handle that. I'd walk right out, if that candle was lit. I was in pre-vet med. I got out of it when I went through pet euthanasia with the vets I worked for.

I doubt that many want to take a pet to a vet, for routine work, and instantly become aware that a beloved companion is being put down behind the waiting room door. Ghastly, as I see it.

I remember a routine visit to the vet last year ..... while standing at the checkout desk, a very large deceased dog was brought in thru the doors on a stretcher by two men and taken into the back. THAT was so upsetting to see !!! ... I just remember thinking, don't they have back entrance ??

I think it's a good idea. I have left the vet numerous times over the years in tears, and I have seen others do the same. It's nice if folks are aware that someone who is very emotional may be coming back into the waiting room. When I see someone like that, I still tear up because I know exactly how they feel. I've always been with my pet and comforting him/her during their final moments. :(

ive only had one dog. so to take him to the vet to be euthanised will be a huge event. i dont really want strangers to know either.
