I want my Foxfire./

I have an old Dell desk top with Firefox. With everything you do on line, I figured if it went to computer heaven, I be screwed. So I got a tablet to be up and running, in case that happened. I've been a Firefox used for years. I think that was one of the first things I ever downloaded. When I tried put Firefox into the tablet, a message came up that it would invalidate the security features of the tablet, and all my teeth would fall out, and something horrible would happen to me. I have an iPhone for a back up, and rarely use the tablet. Anyone know a reason not to install Firefox, which I know and love, into this tablet?

I have Firefox on my tablet fuzzybuddy, I never got any threats when I
put it on there, my tablet is an Android maybe that makes a difference,
but I have it on my desktop which is Windows 10, so I don't know, which
O.S. you have, I will wish you good luck, if you try to put android on to it,
I believe that, that is possible.

Mike.

Foxfire comes with its own security features, so go ahead and download it.

I am also a "lover" of Firefox and have used it for years. I have it on my Windows 10; no problem. I also have it on my iphone XR; no problem! Strange you should get that message. Something "fishy" about that.

The reason I love Firefox is that it is a simple search engine. I have looked at others that have a lot of annoying pictures or whatever. I have no such trouble with Firefox

Maybe it depends on which tablet you have. Is it an iPad or maybe an older tablet? The message would worry me.

When I tried to download Firefox, a blub came on saying Firefox was not "verified" by Microsoft. Then, I can't open the Firefox instillation exe, because I'm in S mode. What is S mode?????
I found "Switching out of S mode is one-way. If you make the switch, you won't be able to go back to Windows 10 or Windows 11 in S mode. There's no charge to switch out of S mode."
What the hell is that????????

I bought a cheap laptop a few weeks ago and I had the same experience. I switched off the S mode and installed Firefox. I suppose S mode must be what showed up originally in Windows 10. I hated it and never used that old laptop (that I'd allowed to upgrade to Windows 10) again because of it, I literally was crying every morning because I liked to play particular games while eating breakfast and it wouldn't let me load the games. Luckily back then there was still a desktop in the house with Windows 7.

I'm so glad there is a way out of S mode now.

I have Firefox on my Samsung Galaxy tablet and it installed just fine. I sure hope it didn't mess with the security... and I'm kind of attached to my teeth, so I hope that wasn't true either! :giggle: 🦷 🙀

Get rid of 'S mode', then you can use nice things like 'Classic Shell' and 'Regedit'.

I used to use Firefox, but I found it a bit slow. I use Chromium (not Chrome) , fast, nice and simple.
