I was one of 751 poisioned. I was a very early case and from the salad bar at Taco Time. Very sick for 3 days and took over a week to recover. I had worked and lived around Anelope for years and it was heartbreaking to watch that community being destroyed by hypnotised followers of a fraud that lived in excessive wealth while people gave up all their assets to work like slaves for a utopian ideal that could never work in a remote desert place without infringing on the rights of others and controlling the government.
I saw the armed guards and all the Rolls Royce’s and the red and purple garment clad followers. Even one person I knew left her husband and son to join this cult. She had a PhD in botany and this idea of utopia appealed to her. She ended up working 12 hours a day and found the idea of having sex with different partners wasn’t the utopia she dreamed. She died of cervical cancer years ago. Purple was once a favorite color, but I didn’t wear it for years after this and still rarely wear it.
