I goggled this subject and read a little about it. With the borders closed, it seemed to me that the supply lines would eventually close up and dealers would be out of supply. What I read indicates that I am correct. So what now?
Seems to me there are going to be even more deaths-death from withdrawal. Perhaps deaths from violence as certain individual seek money for their next fix, and deaths because the next fix is not available. I also read, because homeless, the opioid crisis, and the virus go hand in hand in certain populations the death toll will go up.
I doubt the current death toll is accurate. Many of the deaths of the homeless and addicted population will not be found till later. There is already a history supporting this. What about the children of these parents? How will they be found?
Opinions?
