I wonder what this person’s home looks like…..

That may be her home. She obviously likes to read.

We were given our room for three nights at a hotel, got settled and then the women in the adjoining room pulled their car in. The back seat and a good portion of the front were filled with just about anything, including empty pop containers. We checked out the next day.

Adding: pretty sure these ladies had an active side hustle going.

I worked at a psych hospital. A patient's sister was coming to pick him up for a weekend stay at home. His sister had a car like the pic -full of stuff. There was no room for him in the front passenger or back seat. It was a hatchback. We had to open it and clear a space between stuff, and the roof of the car. He'd then climb in and squish himself into the space. I was outside waiting for his sister with him. As she drove up, he shook his head, and said, "And I'm the one they lock up". That pic of the car just brought that back to me.

I'm going to refrain from judgment. This person could be living in their car. It's possible.
Yeah, same. I touched on that in my original post. He or she could be homeless. No matter the circumstances, situations like this make me so sad for the people suffering through it, and evermore grateful for my comfortable home and the means with which to maintain it.

Hard to say.............maybe homeless or just a slob
i watched a few of those hoarder shows and a few of the folks outside of their house you will never know...
clean and pressed professionals who could barely walk through their home.......

I was always amazed at those folks ... I would be worried that thieves may decide somewhere in that pile there may be something of value.

I noticed this was taken in Tenn. not upstate N Y. Hard to imagine what goes thru the mind of people that hoard.

I watch that hoarders show sometimes. The people drive me nuts. One guy had beautiful property in Washington state. Covered with garbage. He thought a wet box of cassette tapes was something he could use and wanted to keep.

Another woman had two daughters about 11-13. She flipped because some Mr. Potato Head toy got put on the junk truck. She held it up to the camera with some crazed look but seemed to care nothing of the distress she was causing her young children.

Why would you have expected it was taken in upstate NY? Did I miss something?

Clutter Cleaning & Hoarding Clean Up
New York

Hoarding Cleaning NY is a professional career and not just a cleanup situation because it should be done by compassionate and caring individuals who know how to take care of a hoarder and understand the value of the items. The State of New York has an estimated 19 and a half million people. Hoarding is a form of OCD and is expected to affect 15% of the population.

Probably because 15% of 19 1/2 million residents in the sate of N Y seemed like a lot to me.

In the city I live in the common wisdom is to leave absolutely nothing in your parked car that you ever want to see again. I think most of the people here that live in their cars park near others that do the same. We used to see cars with the kids sporting goods etc left in, but no more.
