You can't have a proper hurricane, unless there's a TV news shot of somebody with a mike in his hand, getting blown away. It's a tradition. Ya know, it's turkey on Thanksgiving, Santa at Xmas, a reporter out in a storm. It's how we celebrate hurricanes.

I guess a bad example serves the same purpose as a good example. "AND THIS IS TOM SMITH SIGNING OFF FOR STATION WXXYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEE...... "Tom?Tom? I guess we've lost Tom. Dang, that's the third one this season!"
