I drove a 1962 Mercury Comet sedan, three speed on the column, aka “three on the tree”.

Like this but had a red interior.

Drove to school?... not a chance, not one of us could have afforded driving lessons much less a car.... ....only one pupil drove to school when I was there.. and he was the headmasters' son
